Abstract: In response to user selection of a workflow from among workflow menu options presented on a graphic user interface of a multifunction device, methods and systems automatically and dynamically create device-specific user interface screens that are used in execution of the selected workflow. The device-specific user interface screens comply with unique formatting requirements of the graphic user interface of the multifunction device upon which they are displayed. The device-specific user interface screens provide data input instructions on the graphic user interface, to which the user responds, allowing these methods and systems to receive workflow data into the graphic user interface. These methods and systems transmit the workflow data from the multifunction device to a computerized device over a computerized network. Thus, these methods execute the workflow (through the computerized device and/or the multifunction device) using the workflow data.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for moving an object between pages is provided. The method includes displaying a first page including an object; generating a first signal in response to the object on the first page being moved to a predetermined area of the first page; displaying a plurality of pages, including the first page, in response to the first signal; generating a second signal in response to the object being moved to overlap with a second page; and moving the object to the second page in response to the second signal.

Abstract: A system and method are provided that enhances a user's experience when using a see-through near eye display device. A user interface is provided for a user to manage single or simultaneous applications in a head mounted device. Applications for the head mounted device may be activated or deactivated by the user via the user-interface. The user's total field of view (TFOV) which accounts for a complete range of rotation and translation of the user's head may be determined by tracking the user's head position and rotation relative to the user's body and an environment associated with the user. One region of the user's TFOV (e.g., the right-hand side) may display an “application menu” including a list of applications that can be launched, and another region of the user's TFOV (e.g., the left-hand side) may display an “active menu” including a list of applications currently running.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes displaying one or more first content items on a screen of an electronic device, the first content items being part of a series of content items; and in response to a user input with respect to the first content items, displaying an animation sequence depicting one or more second content items replacing the first content items on the screen of the electronic device, the second content items being part of the series of content items; and displaying the second content items on the screen of the electronic device.

Abstract: An operation processing method and an operation processing device applied in an electronic apparatus include a display unit in which a first interactive interface having a first size is displayed. The method includes displaying a second interactive interface having a second size which is different from the first size and having a mapping relation with the first interactive interface in the display unit, detecting a first action executed by the user in the second interactive interface; and executing a first operation in the first interactive interface according to the first action. Thus, the first interactive interface can be mapped into the second interactive interface and the first operation that the user expects to execute in the first interactive interface can be implemented by the first action executed in the second interactive interface, so that the user can conveniently operate the electronic apparatus.

Abstract: A user interface including a touch-sensitive display unit that has a display area and is configured to show a medical image and a user-selectable element on the display area. The display unit is configured to detect an operator touch and detect a location of the operator touch in the display area. The user-selectable element includes an activating portion and a location indicator. The display unit is configured to move the user-selectable element along the medical image as directed by the operator when the activating portion is touched. The location indicator and the activating portion have fixed positions with respect to each other as the user-selectable element is moved along the display area. The user-selectable element is configured to operate in an activated state and in an inactivated state. The user-selectable element configured to modify the medical image when in the activated state.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for previewing content that is located behind the links of a search results webpage without having to click on the links and thereby cause webpage changes. Embodiments provide a webpage that presents a first set of search results in response to a search query submitted by a user. This webpage is displayed in a graphical user interface and the first set of search results comprises one or more links to other search results webpages, which are defined dynamically and cannot be pre-computed. In the event a user mouses over one of the links, embodiments execute the search associated with the moused-over link and then render selected portions of the search results in a preview window that is positioned over a portion the webpage that displays the first set of search results.

Abstract: An apparatus for enabling manipulation of one or more audio objects may include a processor and memory storing executable computer program code that cause the apparatus to at least perform operations including detecting at least one audio object and operating a pointer in a selected direction by a user. The computer program code may further cause the apparatus to detect a gesture of the pointer in response to the operating of the pointer in the selected direction. The computer program code may further cause the apparatus to control at least one characteristic of the detected audio object in response to the detected gesture of the pointer or an indication of a selection of the at least one characteristic. Abstract: Digital items of dynamic content may be navigated by content elements associated with the item of dynamic content. In some embodiments, a voice command or natural language query is obtained from a user to whom the item of dynamic content is being presented. The voice command or natural language query may be processed to identify a content element to which the user wishes to navigate. The item of dynamic content may then be presented starting at a presentation position at or near a presentation position with which the content element is associated.

For example, an interactive application provides a console view overlay for integrating multiple productivity applications into a graphical user interface (GUI) window. An interactive application can also share a selected display portion of the console view overlay with other interactive applications. As another example, presenters and other audience members can draw on the selected display portion being shared, and the drawn graphics are synchronously displayed by the other interactive applications. Interactive applications, as directed by their users, can join various member groups and specific presentations thereof. Moreover, a user may share content in accordance with membership grouping.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided, in association with a question and answer system, for generating answers to an input question. An input question is received and processed to generate at least one query. The at least one query is applied to the corpus to generate a set of candidate answers and corresponding selections of evidence portions of the corpus of information providing evidence in support of the at least one candidate answer being a correct answer for the input question. A graphical user interface (GUI) is output comprising a first GUI sub-section comprising the set of candidate answers, and a second GUI sub-section comprising the evidence portions of the corpus. User input modifying at least one of set of candidate answers or the evidence portions of the corpus of information is received via the GUI and an operation of the data processing system is adjusted based on the user input.

Abstract: Systems, methods and devices described herein enable acquiring, selecting and sharing content elements, extracted from media content playing on a first device, using one or more second devices. For example, while a video stream is playing on a first client device, a second client device acquires and sends content information derived from the video stream to a server system. The server system identifies the video stream, generates a set of instructions and extracts content elements associated with the media content. The content elements may include, without limitation, individually selectable portions of text, images, suggested ratings, video clips, audio clips, etc. In some implementations, the set of instructions includes instructions to display the one or more content items using non-intersecting overlay regions that enable each respective content element to be individually selectable.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for generating an answer to an input question. An input question is received and a set of candidate answers is generated along with, for each candidate answer in the set of candidate answers, a corresponding selection of one or more selected evidence portions from a corpus of information providing evidence in support of the candidate answer being a correct answer for the input question. The candidate answers are ranked based on an application of a justifying passage model (JPM) to the selected evidence portions for each of the candidate answers in the set of candidate answers. The JPM identifies whether a candidate answer is justified by a selected evidence passage corresponding to the candidate answer. A candidate answer is output as the correct answer for the input question based on the ranking of the candidate answers.
