Abstract: An electronic device has a display, one or more processors, and memory. The memory stores one or more programs configured for execution by the one or more processors. The device displays a graphical user interface having a viewport of a canvas containing a plurality of graphical information units. Each graphical information unit has (i) a respective location on the canvas, (ii) a respective size, and (iii) respective information content independent of size, displayed according to a current location of the viewport and a current scale of the viewport. The device displays the graphical information units according to relative size determination using a specific size metric, including displaying each smaller graphical information unit in front of each fully or partially overlapping larger graphical information unit, thereby displaying a visual hierarchy of the graphical information units on the canvas.

Abstract: Operating conditions corresponding to a harvesting operation being performed by a mobile harvesting machine are detected along with a priority of a first performance pillar metric relative to a second performance pillar metric. An operating characteristic of the mobile harvesting machine is detected and a performance pillar metric value is identified for the first performance pillar metric based on the detected operating characteristic. A performance limitation corresponding to the first performance pillar metric is identified based on the detected operating conditions and an aggressiveness setting is detected that is indicative of an operating settings change threshold.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for navigating through content are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: receiving a first plurality of interactive stream items; causing the first plurality of interactive stream items to be presented in a first presentation mode; receiving a first user selection of an interactive stream item from at least a portion of the first plurality of interactive stream items; continuing to receive the stream of content including a second plurality of interactive stream items; determining a second presentation mode based at least in part on a content type associated with the second plurality of interactive stream items; causing the second plurality of interactive stream items to be presented in a second presentation mode; receiving a second user selection indicating that the interactive stream item is no longer selected; and causing the second plurality of interactive stream items to be presented in the first presentation mode.

Abstract: Systems and methods can suggest applications and/or recipients for a user of a computing device to perform communication. The suggestions can be provided on a user interface for a user to select. A suggestion engine can use historical user interactions that include a recipient, a communication application used to communicate with the recipient, and contextual data to determine which application and/or recipients to suggest. The user interactions may occur in a variety of ways, e.g., after a content object has been selected within a host application, where a communication application is selected thereafter. Multiple models may be used to provide the suggestions, such as a pattern model or a cluster model that uses recent user interactions. As another example, a heuristics model may also be used.

Abstract: A method for providing a cross-application content player is disclosed. The method includes receiving, during playback of a content item in a first content player within a first user interface of a first mobile application, an indication of a user request pertaining to a second mobile application, wherein the first mobile application is associated with a first platform, and the second mobile application is associated with a second platform. The method further includes identifying a play state of the content item corresponding to the user request, and causing playback of the content item in a second content player within a second user interface of the second mobile application based on the play state.

Abstract: A method for providing a cross-application content player is disclosed. The method includes receiving, during playback of a content item in a first content player within a first user interface of a first mobile application, an indication of a user request pertaining to a second mobile application, wherein the first mobile application is associated with a first platform, and the second mobile application is associated with a second platform. Abstract: A computer-implemented example generator is described which has a memory storing a text item, examples of use of the text item having been requested. A processor searches at least one n-gram language model to identify n-grams containing the text item. The processor is configured to rank the identified n-grams on the basis of a position of the text item in the identified n-grams; and a user interface presents at least some of the identified n-grams to a user taking into account the ranking.

Abstract: A method for reducing the number of images or the length of a video from a digital image collection using a social network, includes receiving a digital image collection captured by a user to be viewed by a viewer; wherein the viewer and the user are members of the same social network and using a processor to access the social network to determine a relationship between a viewer and the user. The method further includes using the processor to determine a set of summarization parameters based on the relationship between the viewer and the user and using the processor to reduce the number of images or the length of the video from the digital image collection using the determined set of summarization parameters to be viewed by the viewer.

A user can adjust or control the display of geographic data layers in conjunction with the geographic imagery by interacting with the floating layer control tool. For instance, a user can interact with the floating layer control tool, for instance by tapping a touch screen, to identify a selected geographic data layer in the set of geographic data layers. Responsive to this user interaction, the geographic information system can display the geographic data layer in conjunction with the geographic imagery and hide other previous displayed geographic data layers.

In one example of the technology, a first hologram is caused to be displayed to an operator with a first gaze selection area that is associated with a first selectable option. Responsive to the gaze location coinciding with the first gaze selection area of the first hologram, a first gaze dwell timer is begun. A total duration of the first gaze dwell timer is adjusted based on the gaze location being in a specific portion of the first gaze selection area.
