Abstract: Various embodiments of a system and method related to a computer network capable of detecting and breaking cycles are disclosed. First routing information usable to send messages to a first address may be created. The first address may be associated with multiple nodes in the network. When sending a message from a first node to the first address according to the first routing information, a cycle may be detected. The first routing information may be changed to break the cycle.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method in a CDMA-based communication system for power allocation and control of the downlink channels of a base station having a fixed maximum permitted downlink power level. The method includes the steps of estimating the total needed downlink power for a subsequent time interval and, if necessary, restricting the downlink power for selected subsets of user equipments by means of rejecting their requests for a downlink power increase. Admission and congestion control is done by means of analyzing and evaluating the number of rejected power requests from said user equipments.
