  • Patent number: 9155548
Abstract: The positioning device for bone drilling comprises a base, and the base has an outer wall, a positioning block, a guiding recess and an inner wall. The positioning block is formed on the outer wall of the base. The guiding recess is formed longitudinally through the base. The inner wall surrounds the guiding recess and the inner wall is a concave camber. The doctor can use the positioning block to fix the positioning device on a guide mold. A relative position between the positioning device and the guide mold can be relatively fixed. Prior to or during the drilling, the doctor can replace the positioning device with another positioning device with a more suitable diameter, oblique angle and oblique direction so that the positioning device for bone drilling can drill a hole at an accurate position, at an accurate oblique angle and in an accurate oblique direction as desired.

  • Patent number: 8951290
Abstract: A system and method for a multi-axial connection of an apparatus to bone. The system may include a fastener inserted into a body and a head of the fastener held within a chamber of the body through a combination of a retention ring, a pressure cap, a rod, and a compression element. The compression element applies force to the rod which, in turn, pushed on the pressure cap. The force on the pressure cap urges it against the head of the fastener and pushed it against the retention ring. The force on the retention ring causes it to expand to the walls of the chamber. Once the ring can no longer expand within the chamber, the head of the fastener is wedged between the retention ring and the pressure cap.

  • Patent number: 8945192
Abstract: Implants for forming a positive connection with human or animal parts include a material, such as thermoplastics and thixotropic materials, that can be liquefied by means of mechanical energy. The implants are brought into contact with the tissue part, are subjected to the action of ultrasonic energy while being pressed against the tissue part. The liquefiable material liquefies and is pressed into openings or surface asperities of the tissue part so that, once solidified, the implant is positively joined thereto. The implantation involves the use of an implantation device that includes a generator, an oscillating element, and a resonator. The generator causes the oscillating element to mechanically oscillate, and the element transmits the oscillations to the resonator. The resonator is used to press the implant against the tissue part to transmit oscillations to the implant.
