  • Patent number: 10479352
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for controlling an engine clutch are provided. The method includes determining whether an engine start condition is satisfied when an engine is stopped and performing an engine cranking operation by operating a hybrid starter & generator (HSG) when the engine start condition is satisfied. Whether an engine speed is greater than or equal to a first reference speed is determined to thus reduce an HSG torque. Then, whether the engine speed is greater than or equal to a second reference speed is determined to thus calculate a target speed of the engine. A speed control of the engine is performed using the target speed of the engine while determining whether an engine clutch engagement condition is satisfied. An engine clutch is engaged when the engine clutch engagement condition is satisfied.

  • Patent number: 10435013
Abstract: A hybrid vehicle drive system includes: an engine; a rotary machine; a gear type engagement device; and a controller configured to: control a vehicle to travel in a first mode in which a reaction force of the engine is received by a torque of the rotary machine, and in a second mode in which the reaction force of the engine is received by the engagement device. The controller is configured to perform a first control of receiving the reaction force of the engine by the torque of the rotary machine, increasing a magnitude of the torque of the rotary machine to be equal to or greater than an upper limit of an estimated torque range of the engine, and then decreasing the magnitude of the torque of the rotary machine is performed at a time the engagement device is disengaged from the second mode.

  • Patent number: 10295351
Abstract: A map difference data delivery system includes a map difference data delivery device and a map data holding device. The map difference data delivery device stores map difference data representing a difference between before and after version update and delivers the map difference data. The map difference data includes map elements updated in the version update and dependent map elements by dating back to update of map elements corresponding to a different version. The dependent map elements are map elements that have a dependent relationship and need to be previously updated to avoid conflict with other map elements when updated. • Patent number: 10215118
Abstract: An internal combustion engine of a hybrid drive vehicle includes an exhaust gas purification catalyst in an exhaust passage. An internal combustion engine control device is configured to continuously rotate the internal combustion engine for a predetermined time period after an engine start. The internal combustion engine control device prohibits a fuel-cut within the predetermined time period after the engine start, thereby suppressing the frequent repetition of the start and stop of the internal combustion engine due to an accelerator pedal operation and suppressing oxygen storage in the exhaust gas purification catalyst associated with the fuel-cut. As a result, exhaust gas purification performance at the time of restarting the internal combustion engine is ensured.

  • Patent number: 10131366
Abstract: A hybrid-vehicle power generator control apparatus includes an integrated control unit that issues a driving command and a control command to an engine control unit and an electric-power conversion system control unit, respectively, based on requested electric power requested by a load apparatus, and a limiter that limits the control command from the integrated control unit such that when rotation frequency of an electric power generator is same as or lower than a predetermined value, the value of torque generated by the electric power generator becomes smaller than the value of torque generated by an engine. A limitation of the control command by the limiter prevents torques of the engine and the electric power generator from stepping out of the stable operating points.

  • Patent number: 10133276
Abstract: A robot equipped with an object detection system and an object identification system is used to move inventory holders throughout a warehouse or other environment. The robot can detect objects in its path using the object detection system, which can include one or more sensors for this purpose. The robot can then classify the object using the object identification system to determine an appropriate course of action. The robot can classify the object as an inventory item, warehouse equipment, or a person, among other things. The robot can take action based on the object classification. The robot can reroute around inventory items and warehouse equipment. When encountering people or objects that cannot be classified, the robot can stop and await further instructions. In some cases, the robot may wait for a manual reset before continuing along its path.

  • Patent number: 10124370
Abstract: Sorting table with sorter rolls eliminates foreign matter remaining mixed in with the products of the harvest of small fruit. The sorting table features a sorting system constituted by a succession of rotating rolls of cylindrical shape arranged in parallel so as to form a mobile sorting plane, and a locomotion device, allowing the rotating drive of the rolls in the same direction, so as to allow transporting the grapes dumped on the upstream part of this sorting plane, in a direction that is perpendicular to the axis of the rotating cylindrical rolls and over the entire length of the sorting plane. The rotating cylindrical rolls allow the passage and drop-off of only the small fruit to be sorted, whereas the foreign matter of a size larger than that of the latter remains on the surface of the mobile sorting plane and is evacuated at the downstream end.

  • Patent number: 10083548
Abstract: Wireless communication takes place between a first computing device and an appliance having a data center including diagnostic data. A subset of the diagnostic data may be communicated to a first server using a communications network and in turn information associated with the subset of the diagnostic data may be communicated to a second server. The second server then provides feedback to the first server that may be at least partially communicated to the first computing device. Wireless communication may also take place between a second computing device and the appliance, the second computing device selectively receiving a different subset of the diagnostic data. Subsets of different diagnostic data from different computing devices may result in a larger subset of the diagnostic data.

  • Patent number: 9902390
Abstract: When the accelerator and the brake pedal are simultaneously depressed, braking occurs with drive force being produced. This increases the amount of heat produced by a friction braking device. Therefore, when the accelerator and the brake pedal are simultaneously depressed (S100: Yes), the range of use for a regenerative braking device is increased by expanding the regenerative braking limit (S101), thereby decreasing the range of use for the friction braking device, so that the produced heat to be suppressed. As a result, it is possible to simplify the friction braking device and eliminate the need to install a cooling mechanism equipped a high cooling performance.
