  • Patent number: 11653111
Abstract: A method of operating an image sensor includes determining a duration of an integration time for an image frame; operating an array of pixels to capture the image frame; receiving a decision to truncate the image frame; truncating the image frame before satisfying the duration of the integration time; and reading out a set of pixel values for the array of pixels. Each pixel in the array of pixels is exposed for a truncated integration time. The truncated integration time has a truncated duration shorter than the determined duration.

  • Patent number: 11648867
Abstract: A system to detect and avoid spilled cargo in an automobile vehicle, includes an automobile vehicle rear cargo area including a floor to temporarily receive a storage item in the cargo area. A lift gate is moved between a closed and latched position and a fully open position inclusive to allow loading and removal of the storage item. A vision system identifies the storage item when initially loaded in the cargo area and identifies if the storage item is initially positioned in a cargo spill position or subsequently moves to the cargo spill position. A cargo stop device is releasably connected to the lift gate. An operating system releasably stores the cargo stop device when the storage item is not in the cargo spill position and deploys the cargo stop device when the storage item is in the cargo spill position.

  • Patent number: 11638070
Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes an ECU disposed at a vehicle and a front camera having a CMOS imaging sensor operable to capture image data. Image data captured by the imaging sensor of the front camera is conveyed from the front camera to the ECU via a single core coaxial cable. The front camera is in bidirectional communication with the ECU over the single core coaxial cable. The single core coaxial cable commonly carries (i) image data captured by the imaging sensor for processing at a data processor of the ECU and (ii) power from a DC power supply of the ECU to the front camera. Image data captured by the imaging sensor is serialized at a data serializer of the front camera and is transmitted to the ECU via the single core coaxial cable and is deserialized at the ECU by a data deserializer of the ECU.

  • Patent number: 11637987
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for bundling two data channels via a point-to-point connection, is described herein. Sequences of data from a first data channel are transmitted via a first line and sequences of data from a second data channel are transmitted via a second line to a multiplexing apparatus. A data gap having a predefined size is arranged between two sequences of first data in each case. The data from the second data channel are transmitted to a buffer and, if the buffer has been filled with second data having a predefined size, are inserted into the data from the first data channel. A third data channel is formed at the output of the multiplexing apparatus using these first data and second data and is transmitted to a third line. The third data channel therefore has a bundling of sequences of first data and sequences of second data.

  • Patent number: 11627290
Abstract: Systems and methods for signal communication over an optical link are described. One aspect includes receiving a source CONFIG1 signal from a DP master device and a sink CONFIG1 signal from a sink terminal. The source and sink CONFIG1 signals are analyzed. It is determined whether a signal transmission mode is a DP protocol. For a DP protocol, a pair of source AUX signals is received from the DP master device. A pair of sink AUX signals is received from the sink terminal. Communication resource contention between the source and sink AUX signals is identified. A communication direction of the communication resources is transitioned to give the source AUX signals precedence over the sink AUX signals. The source AUX signals are transferred to the sink terminal via the communication resources. The direction of the communication resources is again transitioned. The sink AUX signals are transferred to the DP master device.

  • Patent number: 11627291
Abstract: A scanning projector display includes a light engine comprising N emitters coupled to a collimator for providing a fan of N light beams of variable optical power levels, where N>1. The N emitters are spaced apart from each other such that pixels of the image simultaneously energized by neighboring ones of the N emitters are non-adjacent. A scanner receives and angularly scans the fan of N light beams about first and second non-parallel axes to provide an image in angular domain. A controller coupled to the scanner and the light engine causes the scanner to simultaneously scan the fan of N light beams about the first and second axes, and cause the light engine to vary the optical power levels of the N emitters with time delays such that adjacent pixels of the image are energized by different ones of the N emitters.

  • Patent number: 11611728
Abstract: A hybrid projector architecture combines steered light with unsteered light. In some embodiments the steered light is narrowband light and the unsteered light is broadband light. Splitting between the steered and unsteered light may be determined based on luminance level. For example, the unsteered light may contribute a large proportion of the light for luminance levels up to a threshold. The steered light may contribute an increasing proportion of the light as luminance values rise above the threshold.

  • Patent number: 11595550
Abstract: The present aspects relate to techniques of timing synchronization of audio and video (AV) data in a network. In particular, the techniques for a AV master to distribute AV data encoded with one or more time markers to a plurality of processing nodes. The one or more time markers may be indexed to a precision time protocol (PTP) time stamp used as a time reference. In one technique, the nodes extract the time markers to determine an offset value that is applied to a PLL to synchronize AV data packets at a distribution node or a processing node. In another technique the distribution node or the processing node determines the worst case path, which corresponds to a system offset value. The distribution node then reports the system offset value to the AV master, which in turn adjusts the phase based on the report.
