Abstract: Batch furnace assembly for processing wafers, comprising a process chamber housing defining a process chamber and having a process chamber opening, a wafer boat housing defining a water boat chamber, a door assembly, a differential pressure sensor, and a controller. The door assembly has a closed position in which it closes off the process chamber opening. The door assembly defines in a closed position a door assembly chamber having a purge gas inlet for supplying purge gas to the door assembly chamber for gas sealingly separating the process chamber from the wafer boat chamber. The differential pressure sensor assembly fluidly connects to the door assembly chamber and is configured to determine a pressure difference between a pressure in the door assembly chamber and a reference pressure in a reference pressure chamber. The controller is configured to establish whether the pressure difference is in a desired pressure range.

Abstract: A food transportation system and associated modular humidity control system are provided. An example system includes a body configured for attachment with a food storage housing. The body defines a closed circuit air flow path for circulating air through the food storage housing. The system also includes a humidity control element secured within the closed circuit air flow path that condenses moisture from the moisture-laden air passing through the closed circuit air flow path. The system further includes a condensation collector configured to receive fluid condensed from the moisture-laden air by the humidity control element.

Abstract: A device for producing expanded granulated material from mineral material in the form of grains of sand with an expanding agent includes a furnace with a furnace shaft, having an upper end and a lower end. A conveying section extends between the two ends and passes through a number of heating zones arranged separately from one another in a conveying direction. The device also includes at least one feeder in order to charge at least the unexpanded material into the furnace shaft at one of the two ends in the direction of the other of the two ends. At least one directing element is at least partly arranged in the furnace shaft and forms a gap with an inner wall of the furnace shaft, at least in the region of one of the two ends. The at least one feeder is designed for charging the material into the gap.

Abstract: A multi-functional retrofit cover plate assembly and method for an electric water heater to provide interconnection with an alternative energy system to heat water in a water holding tank of the electric water heater. The cover plate is adapted for replacement connection over a bottom access opening formed in an outer casing of the electric water heater which permits access to a bottom resistive heating element and electrical connections. The retrofit cover plate is shaped to define an internal dedicated compartment. A dual resistive heating element is provided for replacement of the bottom resistive heating element. An electronic switch unit is further provided and it has a power cut-off switch for connection to an alternative supply voltage.

Abstract: The present invention provides a substrate heat treatment apparatus for heat treating a substrate, including a bake plate, support components, a baffle plate, and a driving device. The bake plate defines at least one gas passage. The support components support the substrate. The baffle plate is fixed on a top surface of the bake plate. The baffle plate surrounds the substrate and a gap is formed between an inner circumferential wall of the baffle plate and the substrate. A driving device drives the plurality of support components to move up or down. When heat treating the substrate, a hot gas is supplied to the space between the substrate and the top surface of the bake plate through the gas passage of the bake plate, and the hot gas flows out through the gap formed between the inner circumferential wall of the baffle plate and the substrate.

Abstract: A removable control panel console for a cooking appliance may include a front panel having upper fingers that hook onto apertures in a bullnose feature of the appliance. Abstract: A vehicle interior panel includes a thermoelectric air conditioner capable of providing conditioned air locally within a passenger cabin of the vehicle. Air is drawn from the passenger cabin through an intake port in the panel, conditioned locally along a back side of the panel by a thermoelectric device, and discharged back into the cabin through a discharge port in the panel. Additional air flows along a waste side of the thermoelectric device and can be discharged outside the passenger cabin. The panel can be an interior door panel from which the waste side air is discharged within a B-pillar of the vehicle body.

Abstract: Various embodiments utilize a novel approach to igniting the natural gas flame that is emitted from the end of the torch. According to one embodiment a rotary diverter within the ignition bell of the GrillGun is used to shunt a portion of the higher velocity gas flow to an area in the bell where the ignition spark is out of the direct burning gas stream. According to another embodiment the ignition bell has a plate that largely covers its open end that reduces the length of the flame that is emitted and focuses it. Still another embodiment has a check valve that operates to stop the flow of gas to the gas conduit when the GrillGun is dropped or tipped over or liquid propane is otherwise presented into the check valve by any other means.
