  • Patent number: 11931011
Abstract: Devices for maintaining a telescope during a minimally invasive surgery (MIS) technique such as laparoscopy or thoracoscopy. A telescope maintenance assembly is comprised of a disc and a dome. The disc is absorbent and includes a central aperture. The dome is hollow and includes an inlet port, a lower protrusion, and outlet ports which abut against the disc when attached thereto. To prepare the assembly for use, the disc is secured about a proximal port of a trocar and the lower protrusion is inserted through the central aperture, and an anti-fog solution is transmitted into and through the dome to wet the disc. After the disc is wetted, the wetted disc can be used by a surgeon or assistant to wipe debris from a lens or other optical component of the telescope without needing to remove the telescope from the trocar.

  • Patent number: 11925327
Abstract: An endoscope includes a dichroic prism assembly configured to receive light from an object image through an entrance face. The assembly includes a first prism and a further dichroic prism assembly for splitting light in three light components, the first prism having a cross section with corners designed so that an incoming beam is partially reflected twice inside and exits the first prism through an exit face towards a first sensor. The dichroic prism assembly includes a compensator prism between the first prism and the further dichroic prism assembly. A first path length travelled by the part of the incoming beam reflected twice inside the first prism towards the first sensor is the same as path lengths travelled by a part of the incoming beam entering the further dichroic prism assembly towards each of three sensors, accounting for adjustment for focal plane focus position difference in wavelengths at the sensors.

  • Patent number: 11918186
Abstract: An endoscopic deployment device includes a body mountable on an endoscopic device, a communication interface, and a motor. The body has a movable carrier couplable to an elongated end effector device. The effector device has an end effector shaft covered by an outer sheath and an end effector extending from a distal end of the shaft. The sheath is sized and shaped for insertion through a working channel of an endoscopic shaft of the endoscopic device. The body has a carrier channel sized for the carrier to slide therein. The end effecter is actuatable between open and closed positions by sliding the carrier in the carrier channel which in turn slides the sheath over the end effector shaft to uncover/cover the end effector. Rotation of a drive shaft of the motor is sliding the carrier in the carrier channel and actuating the end effector in response to a signal.
