Abstract: A payment service system may operate to handle physical currency management for one or more merchants. The payment service system may assign a courier to pickup a currency storage compartment of a merchant. The payment service may then receive a notification related to the arrival of the courier at the location of the currency storage compartment and transfer funds to an account of the merchant. After transferring the funds, the payment service system may then request the merchant device to allow pickup of the currency storage compartment by the courier.

Abstract: A buddy list is used to provide a service to a user if the service is blocked. A user may store multiple profiles in a user device, and each profile identifies a different buddy list. If the user's service is blocked, the user device is configured to retrieve a profile and send a request to use a buddy list from the profile to utilize the service. If a request is rejected, another profile is tried until the request is approved or until all the profiles have been exhausted.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for shelf life expiration date management for smart refrigerators. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for shelf life expiration date management for smart refrigerators is provided. The method includes identifying a consumer during a point of sale transaction for purchasing different food items by a point of sale computer system, for example by scanning a bar code or reading a magnetic strip of a loyalty program card or reading a radio frequency identification (RFID) dongle. A list of the different food items can be provided to the smart refrigerator, for example from storage in the loyalty program card or RFID dongle, or as transmitted from the point of sale computer system to the smart refrigerator over a computer communications network. Finally, expiration dates can be determined for the food items in the list and stored in the smart refrigerator.

Abstract: For reporting, recording, and/or employee timekeeping, an exemplary time manager interface on a display of a communications device allows an employee to track his or her work time and activities. The time manager interface connects the employee to a central time manager system that tracks and records employee check-in and check-out times. The time manager interface may also permit employees to view their and other schedules. The time manager interface is able to compensate for the time spent initially connecting to the network and launching the interface by recording the network logon time as the check-in time when the difference between the network logon time and the actual reported time is below a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for monitoring human interactions, including transactions and communications, profiling the subject and objects in those interactions, and comparing subject profiles to profiles of subjects with known characteristics to determine whether the test subject is normal or abnormal subjects. The behavior data can be collected electronically in a virtual environment, such as a website, through video surveillance, card access, phone records, purchase histories, or any other consistent identified record of behavior. The invention has application in detecting various types of unusual and malicious activity, including spam, viruses, terrorism, identity theft, and money laundering, to name but a few applications.

Abstract: The invention provides systems and methods that provide a mobile banking platform to a user. The system may be in the form of an application disposed in a mobile customer machine, the application tangibly disposed in the form of code on a computer readable medium. In this embodiment, the system implements a debit-credit mechanism configured to handle payments as well as penalties associated with violation of a pair-wise mutual agreement between independent for-profit entities providing network services in a segment of the heterogeneous computer network.

Abstract: A method and system for determining a recommendation for packing an item at a point of sale (POS). A preference indicating a maximum bag weight is received at a POS device. The weight of a next item to be packed is determined. Based on the maximum bag weight preference and based on the determined weight of the item, the recommendation for packing the item is determined by selecting a bag from multiple bags that are available to pack items to be purchased by a customer. The bag is selected so that a sum of the weight of the item and a weight of zero or more other items already packed in the bag does not exceed the maximum bag weight preference. The recommendation for packing the item in the selected bag is presented to a user.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and program product may measure the economic impact of a business venture on a targeted area. An organization's expenditure data may be automatically analyzed in conjunction with supplier survey data indicative of how the initial project budget investment is re-spent. Correspondence prompting payees to upload the survey data may be automatically generated and sent. A multiplier or other economic indicator useful in analyzing economic impact may be automatically generated using the original investment figure, as well as the expenditure and survey data. Program code may enable modeling of different scenarios to optimize money allocation.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for payroll notification. The method steps include obtaining, by a processor, a payroll rule comprising a message and a condition requiring a payroll dollar amount, obtaining, by the processor, the payroll dollar amount from a first paystub having a first gross pay and a first net pay for an employee evaluating, by the processor, the condition of the payroll rule, where the first gross pay equals a second gross pay on a second paystub having a second net pay for the employee, and outputting, by the processor and in response to the condition being satisfied, the message of the payroll rule onto the first paystub explaining a non-zero difference between the first net pay and the second net pay.
