  • Patent number: 9723568
Abstract: A communication apparatus includes a terminal unit, first-signal and second-signal converting units, a selector, and a controller. The terminal unit may alternatively receive a first signal having multiplexed signals based on different standards, a second signal which is one of the signals, and a third signal based on a standard different from the standards of the signals. The first-signal converting unit converts the first or second signal into an internal connection signal. The second-signal converting unit converts the second or third signal into the internal connection signal. The selector performs switching so that a signal from the terminal unit is connected to the first-signal or second-signal converting unit. The controller controls the selector so that, when one of the first-signal and second-signal converting unit is converting the second signal into the internal connection signal, the signal from the terminal unit is connected to the other signal converting unit.

  • Patent number: 9723303
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a system for generating video test pattern signals from definitions contained in a text-based definition file. The definition file allows the user to create generic definitions for test signals that can be interpreted to create test signals in a variety of formats, raster sizes, color spaces, sample structures, frame modes, and bit depths. A parametric generator uses one or more engines to then generate the desired test pattern from the definition file.

  • Patent number: 9681123
Abstract: A method to calibrate an imaging array of a time-of-flight depth camera includes the act of modulating emission from a light source of the camera while synchronously biasing the imaging array. In this method, the modulated emission reflects from a compact reflector positioned a known distance from the camera and passes through an optical diffuser en route to the imaging array. For each pixel of the imaging array, a correction term is stored, which brings the output from that pixel into agreement with the actual distance between the camera and the compact reflector.
