  • Patent number: 11321717
Abstract: An account holder's portfolio of transactions may be represented as a network of interconnected transaction nodes where each node represents a credit card transaction. This network may then be analyzed using artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques coupled with visual representations of the interrelated nodes to draw conclusions. An account holder or other system entity may report a fraudulent transaction that employs the holder's account information. A backend system may organize transaction information as a network of data nodes that includes a variety of interrelated information. The backend system may then identify all financial transaction “nodes” within the network that are related or connected by common data. For example, multiple transactions may include a common merchant as the reported fraudulent transaction. The backend may then perform an analysis of the nodes to identify likely fraudulent transactions based on one or more of the data elements for each node.

  • Patent number: 11257154
Abstract: An electronic trading system is configured to trade credit default swap (CDS) futures contracts on an open exchange. The CDS futures contract allows the buyer and seller isolate and trade the credit risk of a third party. The third pay may be a corporation, sovereign government, or any entity that issues bonds or notes. The CDS futures contract seller effectively pays the premium over time in increments determined by market rates and through the natural operation of the open market. The CDS futures contract buyer makes a contingency payment if the CDS futures contract goes in-the-money (ITM). Both sides of the contract are guaranteed by the exchange as a counterparty.

  • Patent number: 11250432
Abstract: The system protects an account through the use of tokens, thereby eliminating the need to expose the primary account identifier during a transaction. If a primary account identifier is compromised, any use of the primary account identifier to facilitate a fraudulent purchase or settlement transaction may be blocked by the system. The system is configured to receive a payment authorization request including a payment account first identifier. The payment account first identifier serves as a search condition for a query, which is executed against a database to retrieve payment account information, if the payment account information exists. The system sends a decline response in response to the payment account first identifier and a primary account identifier from the payment account information being the same, indicating that a primary account is being used.

  • Patent number: 11244387
Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method for approving a dynamic mortgage application. The method includes determining a customer is approved for a mortgage, including calculating an amount in which the customer is approved for a mortgage loan based upon the information about the customer retrieved from a memory storage location. The method further includes determining a real estate property is mortgage ready, including calculating an appraisal value for the real estate property based upon the information about the real property retrieved from the memory storage location. The method still further includes comparing the calculated amount the customer is approved for a mortgage loan with the calculated appraisal value of the real estate property, and approving the mortgage application of the customer for the real estate property when the calculated amount the customer is approved for the mortgage loan meets or exceeds the calculated appraisal value of the real estate property.

  • Patent number: 11200559
Abstract: A method for transaction authorization includes generation of a master authentication code based on an authorization request for a transaction by a server. The transaction is initiated by a user by way of a transaction application installed on a user-computing device. The server splits the master authentication code into a first authentication code and a second authentication code. The first authentication code is communicated to the transaction application and the second authentication code is communicated to the user by the server. The transaction application generates a response code based on the first authentication code and the second authentication code. The server receives the response code from the transaction application and processes the transaction based on a match between the response code and the master authentication code.

  • Patent number: 11188927
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to initiating or triggering a cardswap action for a customer based on a determination that one or more third-party cards associated with the customer have likely been reissued. The determination may be based on the analysis performed by an analytics model on customer transaction data corresponding to the customer. The analytics model may be trained using various patterns, trends, or characteristics observed in the customer transaction data around a timeframe of an actual reissue event. When a likely reissue event has been determined, one or more customer cards may be presented to the customer for swapping out the reissued third-party cards with a customer card.

  • Patent number: 11182850
Abstract: Various examples are directed to systems and methods for interfacing a computing system to a human user. For example, a computing system may provide a graphical user interface at a display of a user computing device. The graphical user interface may include a positive financial profile indicator at a first position on the display; a negative financial profile indicator at a second position on the display opposite the positive financial profile indicator; and a user financial profile indicator describing a user, the user financial profile indicator positioned between the positive financial profile indicator and the negative financial profile indicator. The computing system may receive user transaction data describing a financial transaction of the user. The computing system may determine that the financial transaction worsens a financial profile of the user. The computing system may also modify the user interface to orient the user financial profile indicator towards the negative financial profile indicator.

  • Patent number: 11157913
Abstract: A method and system for detecting fraudulent network events in a payment card network are provided. A plurality of scored payment card transaction authorization requests are received, originating from a plurality of merchants, and data structures for each of a plurality of merchant groups are generated. Each data structure sorts the scored authorization requests into fraud score range stripes. The data structures are parsed over a plurality of time periods, and at least one cumulative metric is calculated for each merchant group for each of the time periods in each fraud score range stripe. A plurality of ratio striping values is determined for each merchant group, and a set of feature inputs is generated using the ratio striping values. A second fraud detection model is applied to the scored authorization requests. Parameters of the second fraud detection model are configured to change based on the generated set of feature inputs.

  • Patent number: 11157906
Abstract: Techniques are described for managing transactions requested by a user, such management based on sensor data that generated by sensor device(s) in proximity to the user. Biometric and/or other types of data may be generated using sensors that are included in a user device, worn by a user, and/or otherwise in proximity to the user. The data may be analyzed to determine a current physical, emotional, and/or intellectual state of the user, such as whether the user is intoxicated, exhausted, angry, depressed, under duress, experiencing dementia, and so forth. If a transaction is detected that conflicts with a previously specified constraint, such as a budget or spending rule of the user, and if the user is currently in an impaired state, action(s) may be taken to manage the transaction. Such action(s) may include blocking the transaction, delaying the transaction, and/or notifying another party to assist the user.

  • Patent number: 11144910
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for inserting payment information into payment forms without user interaction. A system can identify that a user has navigated to a web page operated by a merchant computer system for a merchant and identify a payment form within the web page. The system can then execute a payment request API which generates a query for saved payment credentials for the user from the merchant computer system. When the merchant computer system indicates it does not have the saved payment credentials for the user, the system can identify browser-saved payment credentials stored in the Internet browser, then generate a virtual payment information associated with the browser-saved payment credentials. The virtual payment information can then be inserted into corresponding fields of the payment form without the user entering any additional information.
