  • Patent number: 9534762
Abstract: A touch key control and icon display apparatus includes a first substrate, a light-emitting element, a second substrate, and a body portion. The light-emitting element is disposed adjacent to the first substrate. The second substrate includes a circuit layer configured to sense a touch. The body portion is disposed between the first and second substrates and includes a reflective surface that defines a chamber. The chamber is formed through the body portion and configured to receive the light-emitting element. The circuit layer includes an icon disposed adjacent to an opening of the chamber. A portion of light, from the light-emitting element, incident on the circuit layer can pass through the circuit layer, and another portion of the light can be reflected by the circuit layer.

  • Patent number: 9482395
Abstract: An LED luminaire includes a thermal management system and features minimal glare while allowing for use of traditional luminaire housing. The luminaire of the depicted embodiments includes a luminaire housing, an LED light module, an LED driver, a diffuser, and reflectors. The LED light module includes at least one LED array, a primary thermal interface, and a secondary thermal interface. These thermal interfaces, particularly when used in conjunction with a conductive housing, allow for optimal thermal management by utilizing both natural convection and conduction to remove the heat from inside the luminaire into the surrounding air. Additionally, in certain embodiments, the position of the LED arrays within the housing in combination with the reflector design creates an optical path resulting in an indirect light source that minimizes glare, while providing a uniform distribution of light, unlike traditional LED luminaires.

  • Patent number: 9459492
Abstract: A display includes a backlight (40). In addition, the display includes for each of at least one wavelength band, a plurality of layers placed above the backlight (40). The plurality of layers includes an absorption layer (13,23,33), a luminescent layer (14,24,34) and a reflective layer (15,25,35). The absorption layer (12,22,32) is capable of absorbing light in a wavelength band while being substantially transparent to light in other wavelength bands. The luminescent layer (14,24,34) is capable, in response to light from the backlight (40), of emitting light within the wavelength band. The reflective layer (15,25,35) is adapted to reflect light in the wavelength band while being substantially transparent to light in other wavelength bands.

  • Patent number: 9028101
Abstract: A display light source includes a light source, a color wheel, an optical module, and an actuator. The light source provides a light beam. The color wheel includes a first path segment and a second path segment. Each of the first path segment and the second path segment includes a reflective segment and at least one filtering segment. When the light beam impinges on the filtering segment of the first path segment, the light beam passes through the filtering segment of the first path segment and is filtered to form a first primary-color light beam. When the light beam impinges on the reflective segment of the first path segment, the light beam is reflected to the optical module. The optical module guides the reflected light beam to the filtering segment of the second path segment, such that the reflected light beam is filtered to form a second primary-color light beam.

  • Patent number: 8974091
Abstract: A heat-dissipating structure for an LED lamp has a lamp cover, and a power conversion device and a ceramic substrate mounted inside the lamp cover. The lamp cover has multiple heat-dissipating holes and multiple mounting ears. Each mounting ear is formed on an edge of one of the heat-dissipating holes and is bent inwardly with the heat-dissipating hole uncovered. The ceramic substrate is mounted on the mounting ears. The ceramic substrate has multiple LEDs mounted thereon, absorbs heat generated when the LEDs emit light and conducts the heat to the lamp cover through the mounting ears. The heat generated when the LEDs are lit and the power conversion converts a mains power is transferred to a heat convection space between the ceramic substrate and the lamp cover, and is further dissipated to an ambient environment, thereby achieving fast heat dissipation and a light LED lamp without an additional heat sink thereon.

  • Patent number: 8789987
Abstract: The invention relates to a base (1), in particular for light masts, comprising a housing (7) with a base surface (10) which can be filled with a medium. In order to ensure improved stability and to avoid additional grounding measures, an embodiment is chosen according to the invention in which the housing (7) is not electrically conductive and has a holding opening (21) for a mast (2) which is not round and is composed of non-conductive material. In this case, a mast (2) which is not round avoids lateral inclination of the mast (2), thus making it possible to ensure secure installation.
