Abstract: A system and method for capturing user feedback of content in a networked environment, controlling the software using a single action is disclosed, and recommending content based on the user feedback, Feedback-software controls provide the user with a single interface that allows the user to simultaneously provide user review content while controlling the software displaying the content. The feedback-software controls eliminate the additional action(s) required to provide feedback and control software. By reducing the process of providing feedback and controlling software into a single action, the feedback-software controls increase the probability that a user will provide feedback. This increased feedback can result in improved recommendations given to users and insightful feedback for content providers or merchants.

Abstract: Methods and computer systems are used to create context-based event entries. In one aspect, the method includes, at a computer system with one or more processors and memory: (1) receiving a content-less request to create an event entry; (2) selecting an applicable rule from a set of rules stored at the computer system in accordance with one or more context items, the one or more context items comprising one or more context items for the user, the set of rules comprising a plurality of distinct rules; (3) creating an event entry in accordance with the selected applicable rule and at least one of the one or more context items for the user, the event entry including one or more fields having content determined in accordance with the at least one of the one or more context items for the user; and (4) providing the event entry for display.

Abstract: A system and method for selecting an optimal policy to be implemented in production support engagement. The system configures a knowledge base including plurality of policies, reference events, and reference scenarios. The plurality of policies is mapped with the plurality of reference scenarios and the plurality of reference events. The plurality of policies is defined in a plurality of layers in a manner that each policy corresponds to a particular layer of the plurality of layers. Relevant policies, out of the plurality of policies, may be selected based on an event received. Simulation may be performed on the relevant policies for identifying first candidate policy. The optimization may be performed on the relevant policies for identifying second candidate policy. The first and second candidate policy indicate the optimal policy to be implemented in the production support engagement.
