  • Patent number: 11893487
Abstract: Embodiments generate machine learning predictions to discover target device energy usage. One or more trained machine learning models configured to discover target device energy usage from source location energy usage can be stored. Multiple instances of source location energy usage over a period of time can be received for a given source location. Using the trained machine learning model, multiple discovery predictions for the received instances of source location energy usage can be generated, the discovery predictions comprising a prediction about a presence of target device energy usage within the instances of source location energy usage. And based on the multiple discovery predictions, an overall prediction about a presence of target device energy usage within the given source location's energy usage over the period of time can be generated.

  • Patent number: 11888317
Abstract: A method of Demand Side Management is intended to manage the increasingly chaotic nature of the power grid, and is designed to adapt to the future impact to the grid patterns caused by the ongoing introduction of renewable power generation sources, battery charging associated with the increasing number of electric vehicles, and future unforeseen developments, by utilizing Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques. SPC monitors the quality of the grid by treating the grid as if the grid was a process with varying levels of quality, to which the method can detect, anticipate and respond by making immediate and adaptive future scheduling decisions for the control of device loads, or generation, for the benefit of consumers as well as power companies.

  • Patent number: 11882889
Abstract: A system determines the frequency of grid signals corresponding to an electrical grid in real time. The system includes a transient detector that monitors a grid signal from a voltage meter or a current meter connected to the electrical grid. The system produces, in real time and at a sampling rate, a deviation signal indicative of a periodicity of the monitored grid signal. The system determines, over one or more cycles of the monitored grid signal, a measurement signal corresponding to the deviation signal. The system determines a frequency signal that corresponds a frequency estimation of the monitored signal by applying a frequency estimation when values of the measurement signal are less than a deviation threshold and maintaining the frequency signal at a constant value when values of the measured signal equal or exceeds the deviation threshold.

  • Patent number: 11888319
Abstract: Implementations are directed to achieving a real-time and distributed control solution that can at least selectively achieve a deterministic flow of power at a virtual point of interconnection (vPOI) of a virtual microgrid, where there is limited or no power measurement data available at the vPOI. Some of those implementations are directed to automatically generating virtual microgrids for a power network, optionally including generating additional and/or alternative virtual microgrids in response to transient and/or persistent changes to the power network. Some of those implementations are additionally or alternatively directed to dynamic control of a virtual microgrid to achieve the deterministic flow of power at the vPOI thereof.

  • Patent number: 11886155
Abstract: Distributed industrial process monitoring and analytics systems and methods are provided for operation within a process plant. A plurality of distributed data engines (DDEs) may be embedded within the process plant to collect and store data generated by data sources, such as process controllers. Thus, the data may be stored in a distributed manner in the DDEs embedded throughout the process plant. The DDEs may be connected by a data analytics network to facilitate data transmission by subscription or query. The DDEs may be configured as a plurality of clusters, which may further include local and centralized clusters. The local clusters may obtain streaming data from data sources and stream selected data to a data consumer. The centralized cluster may register the local clusters, receive data therefrom, and perform data analytic functions on the received data. The analyzed data may be further sent to a data consumer.

  • Patent number: 11886774
Abstract: The hardware and software properties of a three-dimensional printer can be queried and applied to select suitable directly printable models for the printer, or to identify situations where a new machine-ready model must be generated. The properties may be any properties relevant to fabrication including, e.g., physical properties of the printer, printer firmware, user settings, hardware configurations, and so forth. A printer may respond to configuration queries with a dictionary of capabilities or properties, and this dictionary may be used to select suitable models, or determine when a new model must be created. Similarly, when a printable model is sent to the printer, metadata for the printable model may be compared to printer properties in the dictionary to ensure that the model can be fabricated by the printer.
