The assembly include a first component, a second component, a chamber component, a disc component, a first magnetic component, and a second magnetic component. The first magnetic component maintains a magnetic connection with the second magnetic component to affix the first component to the chamber component. Upon user rotation of the first component, a first set of protrusions of the first component are moved such that the first set of protrusions engage a second set of protrusions of the chamber component to grind the substance. In response to such rotation, the substance is ground into a much thicker consistency that resembles a hand-broken consistency. The ground substance falls through a plurality of openings of the chamber component into the second component for storage.

A separation between the first and second body parts is adjustable by at most a predetermined limited distance, allowing a user to select the grain size by compressing the first and second body parts to alter the inter-burr distance. An undulating ring that is non-metallic and compressively resilient is positioned between the first and second body parts to push the two body parts away from each other after the user stops compressing the two body parts, avoiding the inter-burr distance to be stuck at a most-recently used value without a need of using a metallic spring to rebound the two body parts. A manufacturing cost of the grinder is reduced.

When a controller determines that the initial quantity of the preservative is not sufficient to treat the estimated number of bales to be formed during the harvest operation, the controller may send a notification to a system manager requesting additional preservative be delivered to the baler implement. The status of the preservative may be continuously monitored and updated throughout the harvest operation.

When the electro-mechanical tensioning system is controlled by a processor to tighten a cable, a reactionary force through a drive nut that is pivotally mounted to a tension bar can be monitored and measured by a strain gauge, a load cell, or other sensing system. This reactionary force is an indication of tension on the cable tie and is monitored by the processor until the tension reaches a predetermined tension, at which point, the processor causes a motor in the tensioning system to stop increasing the tension on the cable tie. The processor activates a cut-off system to cut the cable tie that has been tightened to the predetermined tension.
