Abstract: A dialogical information search system is realized by comprehensively utilizing different kinds of ontologies: a library classification system and a Wikipedia category. A new information search infrastructure is thus realized by comprehensively utilizing the different ontologies of library classification system and Wikipedia category. By virtue of this, a new information search paradigm can be promoted to the world: an in-depth search is realized by utilizing a library with the Web as a clue. This, as a result, contributes to improving literacy of the whole society, and conduces to rediscovering the significance of existence of libraries and further to realizing electronic libraries.
Abstract: The technology described relates to performing query classification by using search engine results. In one aspect, a method includes identifying, from search results responsive to first search queries, first collections of features associated with classifications for the first search queries; in response to receiving a second search query, generating from search results responsive to the second search query a second collection of features associated with the second search query; and comparing the first collections of features to the second collection of features to determine a particular classification for the second search query.

Abstract: Transaction-segregated metrics are obtained for component invocations of different transactions of an application. Corresponding tree data structures are maintained by an agent and a manager which describe sequences of invoked components of the different transactions. The start and end of each component are each represented by a node in each branch of the tree data structure. Each transaction is identified by matching a branch to a transaction trace. Gatherers are linked to one or more nodes to collect the transaction-segregated metrics. For example, metrics can be gathered separately for component invocations in different transactions. Metrics can also be gathered together for instances of different components in one or more transactions. A user interface includes a directed graph having vertices connected by edges. Edge portions are visually distinguished from one another based on the metrics of the gatherers. Each edge portion can be associated with one or more of the gatherers.
