Abstract: A precision cast engine has a piston unit and a rotor unit to translate linear thrust from the piston unit into rotary power. Each piston rod is attached to a thrust absorber carriage running on precision bearings to eliminate piston drag on the cylinder walls. One or more drive rods extend from the carriage each into a curved groove on a power rotor to rotate it to transmit power via one or more drive shafts connected to drive components of transportation or other devices. An air intake valve on each piston provides automatic self aspirating to force combusted gasses out and draw in a controlled recharge of air for the fuel air mix.
Abstract: An oil pump mechanism is incorporated in a chain saw having a centrifugal clutch and a saw chain adapted to be driven through the centrifugal clutch and activated in synchronization with the centrifugal clutch to supply a lubricating oil to the saw chain. The mechanism includes a crankshaft, a clutch shoe being mounted on the centrifugal clutch and being connected in driven relation to the crankshaft, a clutch drum disposed coaxially around the crankshaft, a worm fitted on the crankshaft by insertion in a freely rotatable manner and connected in driven relation to the clutch drum to be integrally rotated with the clutch drum, a driven gear engaged with the worm, and a movable pumping element for pumping the lubricating oil. The worm has an inner portion located opposed to the crankshaft and an outer portion including a tooth region. The inner portion is made of self-lubricating resin and the outer portion is made of wear-resistant metal.
Abstract: A fastener comprises a base formed of a flange and a plurality of leg pieces and a screw-receiving member adapted to be embraced between the leg pieces, whereby it is secured onto a given panel by a procedure which involves inserting the leg pieces into a fitting hole bored in advance in the panel, then inserting a fastening screw through a through hole formed in the flange into a screw hole formed within the screw-receiving member, imparting a helical motion of the fastening screw thereby drawing the screw-receiving member toward the flange, consequently causing the leg pieces to be spread outwardly within the fitting hole of the panel and brought into tight engagement with the fitting hole and, at the same time, enabling the fastening screw to be secured onto the panel through the medium of the base.
