  • Patent number: 11972449
Abstract: A system and method for blocking normal media content signals, such as radio program signals emitted on a speaker and substituting alternative content for blocked signals includes a voice control module operable to receive a blocking command via a microphone. Receiving a blocking command results in the normal content being blocked and predetermined alternative content is played for either a user specified time or a predetermined time. Control over the radio or other media device is completely oral via speech recognition technology. The system may include a predetermined time delay before alternative content is played. The system may include a voice activated survey module (“VAS”) enabling a user to leave comments regarding radio commercial content. Comments are tracked in real time and at finite locations within the content.

  • Patent number: 11922444
Abstract: VoC data, e.g., plurality of VoC communications, for a plurality of customers can be collected. A clustering algorithm may be utilized to generate a plurality of cluster each of which is assigned a group of customers that share similar metadata. An emotion profile may be generated for each cluster based on segment detected emotions for the VoC data corresponding to the customers that are assigned to the cluster. The emotion profile for a cluster may represent the normal or expected emotions experienced during VoC communications by customers assigned to the cluster. New VoC data corresponding to a new customer may be received. A cluster may be identified based on the metadata of the new customer, and the emotion attributes of the new VoC data may be compared to the emotion profile of the identified cluster. Based on the comparison, one or more deviation can be identified to trigger an action.

  • Patent number: 11532055
Abstract: A distributed energy resource (DER) device is coupled to a utility meter in a “behind-the-meter” configuration. The utility meter analyzes a commitment generated by the DER device to determine a specific operation performed by the DER device at a particular time. The utility meter analyzes metrology data to identify an “event” associated with the particular time and then attempts to map the identified event back to the DER device based on a library of events associated with different DER devices. The utility meter also attempts to map the identified event to the specific operation set forth in the commitment. If the utility meter can successfully map the identified event to both the DER device and to the specific operation set forth in the commitment, then the utility meter generates a validated commitment. The validated commitment can be used to facilitate an energy market settlement process.

  • Patent number: 11429910
Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamically scheduling breaks for drivers in a ride-sharing service are disclosed. Driver breaks may be scheduled dynamically in the context of a ride-sharing service in which rides may be requested ad hoc and drivers are rerouted accordingly. An allocation system may optimize a drive itinerary to service passengers requesting rides and breaks for drivers. A break request comprising break parameters may be received. The allocation system may attempt an insertion of the break request into the drive itinerary. The drive itinerary may then be validated to determine if all rides can be serviced with the break request entered into the itinerary. If the drive itinerary is not validated, the drive itinerary is modified until the break request is successfully inserted into the drive itinerary. The drive itinerary and driver breaks may be continuously modified and optimized in response to real time events and conditions.
