  • Patent number: 10098174
Abstract: In one aspect, the application running on mobile device creates a unique identifier. This unique identifier acts as the “permanent address” for sending packets from the proxy server to the mobile application. The current IP address of the device is used as a “temporary forwarding address” for the packet. When the IP address of the mobile device changes, the application on the device quickly informs the proxy server about this change. This allows the proxy server to continue sending the remaining data of this download session to the newly acquired IP address without having to restart the entire download session from scratch.

  • Patent number: 10079658
Abstract: An enhanced physical downlink control channel (e-PDCCH) may provide carrier aggregation (CA) enhancements, help support new carriers which may not be backwards compatible, reduce control channel capacity limitations of coordinated multipoint (CoMP) transmissions, and enhance DL MIMO. In wireless communication networks, such as Long Term Evolution (LTE), user equipments (UEs) may monitor both a common search space and a UE-specific search space in a control region. A search space may comprise a set of channel control element (CCE) locations where a UE may find its PDCCHs. One or more CCEs are used to transmit each PDCCH. Certain aspects provide methods and apparatus for determining a search space comprising a subset of CCEs located on a band edge of available frequency resources, and performing a search of the search space to decode at least one PDCCH.

  • Patent number: 9906454
Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method are presented for a bandwidth (BW) management system. The BW management system accepts, on behalf of a receiving host, data packets for a first individual flow at a flow rate sent by a sending host. The bandwidth management system manages bandwidth by traffic classes representing collections of flows associated with nodes in a hierarchical bandwidth tree (HBT). The first individual flow is included within the collection of individual flows associated with one or more of the traffic classes. The BW management system controls the rate at which the sending host is transmitting the data packets for the first individual flow using a sliding window protocol by managing the bandwidth utilization of the nodes to conform to bandwidth limits assigned to the nodes. The BW management system receives the data packets for the first individual flow at an adjusted flow rate based on the sliding window protocol.
