  • Patent number: 11649656
Abstract: A smart deadlock system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a thumb-turn, a key cylinder, a connecting shaft connecting the thumb-turn and the key cylinder, and a sensor module. The sensor module may include a sensing unit to sense a rotation state of a rotation sensing element inserted onto the connecting shaft, and generate sensing information associated with the rotation state of the rotation sensing element, and a rotation information generation unit to receive the sensing information from the sensing unit, and generate rotation information associated with an extent of rotation of the rotation sensing element based on the sensing information. According to the smart deadlock system, it is possible to check the operation of the deadlock more accurately by sensing the rotation state of the rotation sensing element using the sensor.

  • Patent number: 11624290
Abstract: An aspirating face seal between high and low pressure regions of a turbomachine at a juncture between rotatable and non-rotatable members of turbomachine includes gas bearing rotatable and non-rotatable face surfaces. Primary and starter seal teeth and optional deflector seal tooth are mounted on seal teeth carrier on rotatable member. Non-rotatable face surface is mounted on an annular slider on the non-rotatable member. A pull-off biasing means urges the annular slider away from the rotatable member and the non-rotatable face surface away from the rotatable surface. A secondary seal is in sealing engagement with the annular slider in the low pressure region and the pull-off biasing means is located radially outwardly of the annular slider in the high pressure region. Biasing means may include coil springs within spring chambers of circumferentially spaced cartridges. Tongues extend inwardly from spring chambers into grooves in slider.

  • Patent number: 11384841
Abstract: A seal joint assembly is provided that includes a stationary seal carrier, a stationary seal land and a brush seal. The stationary seal land includes a seal land surface. The brush seal is mounted to the stationary seal carrier. The brush seal includes a first set of bristles and a second set of bristles. The first set of bristles includes a first bristle that contacts the seal land surface. The second set of bristles includes a second bristle that contacts the seal land surface. The second bristle crosses the first bristle.

  • Patent number: 11346644
Abstract: A plug gauge includes a housing defining an internal volume and a longitudinal axis AH. The housing includes an opening into the internal volume. The plug gauge also includes a contact element at least partially received in the opening. The plug gauge further includes a plunger at least partially received in the internal volume. The plunger is biased into engagement with the contact element to urge the contact element radially outward from the housing through the opening. The plug gauge additionally includes a sealing member between the contact element and the housing.

  • Patent number: 11255433
Abstract: A ring-shaped gasket for making high-purity fluid pathway connections between opposing fluid delivery apparatus elements having at least one simple flat surface in contact with the gasket. The face of at least one apparatus element typically has a circular counterbore depression to receive the gasket, but is not required. The gasket has a body, pierced through by a hole creating a fluid pathway and defining a radial inner surface, and additionally having a radial outer surface, a first axial end surface and a second axial end surface. At least one of the first and second axial end surfaces has a stress concentration feature radially adjacent to a gasket sealing region, the sealing region constructed to be in contact with a face surface of a corresponding fluid conduit port. The stress concentration feature may be a groove or a plurality of cavities disposed adjacent the gasket axial end surface sealing region.

  • Patent number: 11143307
Abstract: A dual function coating on a counterface of a seal. The dual function provides having a low friction and being hydrophobic. This is achieved by chemically modifying a low friction coating. Gaps are included, primarily on the exterior side of a seal, one side being coated with the modified low friction coating on a counterface and the other side with a hydrophobic or omniphobic material on a seal body. The material can be in the form of a coating, film, strip, or ring depending on application, and be coated, glued, fused, mechanically attached or by any other suitable method, attached to the seal body. The gap should preferably be in the order of 0.2 to 1 mm wide, thus creating ‘reverse-capillary’ function where water cannot pass all the way through the gap.
