  • Patent number: 10589397
Abstract: A difference between a first expected required polish time for a first substrate and a second expected required polish time for a second substrate is determined using a first pre-polish thickness and a second pre-polish thickness measured at an in-line metrology station. A duration of an initial period is determined based on the difference between the first expected required polish time and the second expected required polish time. For the initial period at a beginning of a polishing operation, no pressure is applied to whichever of the first substrate and the second substrate has a lesser expected required polish time while simultaneously pressure is applied to whichever of the first substrate and the second substrate has a greater expected required polish time. After the initial period, pressure is applied to both the first substrate and the second substrate.

  • Patent number: 10556512
Abstract: Power control can be performed for electronic apparatuses that are unable to connect to a network. A user accesses the URL of a power supply center, and downloads an application (S11). The application is downloaded for each individual electronic apparatus to be controlled. In S12, the user makes various settings. After the settings are complete, the power supply center 2 transmits a power-limiting signal (S2), and a communication device receives the power-limiting signal (S13). If it is determined in S14 that the power-limiting function is set active, the application is started in S16. In S17, the kind of the communication that has been set is infrared. If the kind of the communication is infrared, in S18, a power-limiting signal is transmitted to a target electronic apparatus via infrared communication.

  • Patent number: 10466665
Abstract: Techniques are described controlling and managing machines to provide laundry services. A request may be received from a mobile device of a user, the request indicating that the mobile device is in proximity to a laundry machine such as a washer or dryer. In some cases, the request is sent by the mobile device based on detecting, at the mobile device, a wireless signal transmitted from the laundry machine. In some cases the request may include a code that identifies the laundry machine, the code being displayed by the machine and/or encoded in a scannable code displayed by the machine. In response to the request, a signal may be sent to activate the laundry machine and enable the user to use the laundry machine for a predetermined period of time (e.g., a cycle). In some cases, the activation signal is sent if the user's payment is successfully processed.
