    Abstract: Techniques for controlling or managing uplink access of a UE to a base station using unlicensed spectrum includes signaling an indication of different uplink access constraints so the UE connects to the base station when the UE and/or the uplink direction between the UE and the base station meet the uplink access constraints. The indication may be broadcast in a reference or synchronization signal, e.g., by utilizing unused or undesignated bits. Uplink access constraints may include a threshold distance of UEs from the base station, interference in the uplink direction (which may differ from interference in the downlink direction), etc. Based on the indicated constraints, the UE may determine whether or not to consider the base station as a candidate serving cell for wireless network access. The UE may be an in-flight aircraft and the base station may be a logical cell of a network that provides in-flight connectivity services.

In one embodiment, a base station (BS) receives, from a user equipment (UE) in a first cell frequency, a request for a protocol data unit (PDU) session over a network slice. The BS receives, from a core network entity, a resource configuration request for the PDU session over the network slice. The BS transmits, to the core network entity, a resource configuration response indicating a cause for rejecting the resource configuration request. In one embodiment, a UE transmits, in a first cell frequency of a network, a network registration request message requesting a network slice of the network that is not provided by the first cell frequency. The UE receives a network registration response message indicating the network slice is allowed based on a second cell frequency of the network providing the network slice requested.

In one example a method is provided that may include encoding a multi-bit roaming policy for an identity provider within a plurality of multi-bit 3GPP broadcast identifiers in which the multi-bit roaming policy includes bit-wise roaming policy information for the identity provider. The method may further include configuring the plurality of multi-bit 3GPP broadcast identifiers for a mobile device associated with the identity provider. In one instance, detecting, by the mobile device, at least one multi-bit 3GPP broadcast identifier of the plurality of multi-bit broadcasting identifiers being broadcast by a visited radio access network triggers the mobile device to perform an authentication with the identity provider.

A terminal sends, to a first AP associated with the terminal, an action frame that is used to request to associate with a second AP. A receiver address of the action frame is an address of the first AP, and the action frame further includes an identifier of the second AP. When the terminal receives a response frame sent by the first AP for the action frame, and the response frame indicates that association succeeds, the terminal establishes association with the second AP. The terminal first establishes the association with the second AP by using the first AP, and then changes an operating channel to an operating channel of the second AP. Now the terminal can receive and send data on the operating channel of the second AP.
