  • Patent number: 10855945
Abstract: An apparatus takes data read out in parallel from m rows (2?m<M) of a region, of an image sensor having M×N pixels, and stores n columns' worth (2?n<N) of the read-out data in first memory. The apparatus stores the M×N pixels' worth of data in second memory by storing m×n pixels' worth of data in units of o×p pixels (2?o<m, 2?p?n), and transfers the M×N pixels' worth of data, to third memory in the units of o×p pixels. The apparatus outputs the data stored in the third memory one row at a time so that the data are arranged in the original order.

  • Patent number: 10841494
Abstract: Video image stabilization provides better performance on a generic platform for computing devices by evaluating available multimedia digital signal processing components, and selecting the available components to utilize according to a hierarchy structure for video stabilization performance for processing parts of the video stabilization. The video stabilization has improved motion vector estimation that employs refinement motion vector searching according to a pyramid block structure relationship starting from a downsampled resolution version of the video frames. The video stabilization also improves global motion transform estimation by performing a random sample consensus approach for processing the local motion vectors, and selection criteria for motion vector reliability. The video stabilization achieves the removal of hand shakiness smoothly by real-time one-pass or off-line two-pass temporal smoothing with error detection and correction.

  • Patent number: 10834352
Abstract: An image sensor has an array of pixels configured in multiple blocks; each block coupled to a separate analog-to-digital converter (ADC) to provide digitized image data. The ADCs feed digitized images into an image RAM; and the image RAM feeds digitized images to an alignment buffer in a first pixel order. The alignment buffer provides digitized images to an image processor in a second pixel order different from the first pixel order. In an embodiment, the alignment buffer uses a multiport RAM. In another embodiment, the alignment buffer uses first and second alignment buffer RAMs, writing one alignment buffer RAM while reading the other alignment buffer RAM to provide image data to the image processor. In embodiments, the alignment buffer provides digitized images in an order selectable between a full resolution and a reduced resolution order, and selectable between a right-to-left and left-to-right order.

  • Patent number: 10819913
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for inhibiting AEC jump, and a terminal device. The method comprises: obtaining a target zoom multiple to which a camera apparatus is to be switched; determining whether the target zoom multiple is within a preset target range; if the target zoom multiple is within the target range, controlling to simultaneously open a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens; obtaining a first AEC value of the wide-angle lens and a second AEC value of the telephoto lens; and determining a target AEC value corresponding to the target zoom multiple according to the first AEC value and the second AEC value. In the embodiment of the method, when the target zoom multiple is within the set range, two lenses can be opened simultaneously, and the AEC values of the two lenses can be integrated in advance. Therefore, the problem of AEC brightness jump during lens switching is solved, the photographing effect is enhanced, and the user experience is enhanced.

  • Patent number: 10819918
Abstract: A camera system captures an image in a source aspect ratio and applies a transformation to the input image to scale and warp the input image to generate an output image having a target aspect ratio different than the source aspect ratio. The output image has the same field of view as the input image, maintains image resolution, and limits distortion to levels that do not substantially affect the viewing experience. In one embodiment, the output image is non-linearly warped relative to the input image such that a distortion in the output image relative to the input image is greater in a corner region of the output image than a center region of the output image.

  • Patent number: 10812717
Abstract: The subject matter described in this disclosure can be embodied in methods and systems for stabilizing video. A computing system determines a stabilized location of a facial feature in a frame of video accounting for its location in a previous frame. The computing system determines a physical camera pose in virtual space and maps the frame into virtual space. The computing system determines an optimized virtual camera pose using an optimization process that determines (1) a difference between the stabilized location of the facial feature and a location of the facial feature when viewed from a potential virtual camera pose, (2) a difference between the potential virtual camera pose and a previous virtual camera pose, and (3) a difference between the potential virtual camera pose and the physical camera pose.
