  • Patent number: 10406868
Abstract: A tire equipped with a sensor patch includes a sensor module and a sensor patch. The sensor patch is formed integrally with the inner liner of the tire by being vulcanized into the inner circumferential surface, and an accommodation space is formed in a region so that the sensor module can be fixed therein. A sensor patch is integrated with the inner liner without damaging the inner liner, and thus the sensor patch can be strongly bound to the tire. Furthermore, since the sensor patch is formed to have a thickness smaller than the thickness of the inner liner, when the sensor patch is vulcanized into the inner liner, the pressure of the bladder being exerted locally non-uniformly on the inner liner can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 10391696
Abstract: The present invention relates to an external cooling system for a molten film tube produced by a blown film tubular extrusion process, comprised of a divergent cooling element with a divergent cooling interface containing a cooling gas deflector spaced adjacent to the molten film tube and providing an expelled cooling gas (i) in a path opposing the flow of the molten film tube toward a first exit gap and (ii) in a path with the flow of the molten film tube toward a second exit gap. A minimum gap between the divergent cooling interface and the molten film tube occurs at the first exit gap and/or the second exit gap. Advantageously, the divergent cooling interface is provided with one or more compound angles to maximize stability and cooling efficiency. Additionally, multiple cooling elements can preferably be arranged in a stackable configuration to achieve higher throughput rates.

  • Patent number: 10369744
Abstract: Layers of build and support material on an intermediate transfer surface are exposed to a solvent using a solvent application station to make the build material tacky, without affecting the support material. Then, the intermediate transfer surface moves past a transfuse station (the transfuse station is positioned to receive the layers after exposure to the solvent) and a platen moves relative to the intermediate transfer surface to contact the platen to one of the layers on the intermediate transfer surface. The intermediate transfer surface transfers a layer of the build material and the support material to the platen each time the platen contacts the layers on the intermediate transfer surface at the transfuse station to successively form a freestanding stack of the layers of build and support material on the platen.
