  • Patent number: 11987356
Abstract: A method includes determining current coordinates and a current elevation setting of a first unmanned aerial vehicle that is to be deployed to a candidate location for a microwave radio dish, receiving expected coordinates and an expected elevation setting of a second unmanned aerial vehicle that is deployed to a location of an existing cellular base station, calculating an angle necessary to direct a flash of light from the first unmanned aerial vehicle toward the expected coordinates and expected elevation setting of the second unmanned aerial vehicle, adjusting a current angle of an optical system of the first unmanned aerial vehicle to match the angle that is calculated, and sending a dataset to a centralized computing device, wherein the dataset includes at least an elevation setting of the first unmanned aerial vehicle at a time of capture of an image of the flash by the second unmanned aerial vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11974515
Abstract: An agricultural machine, in particular self-propelled and/or towed agricultural machine and methods for proactively controlling an agricultural machine to maintain a positioning of a boom coupled to the machine over uneven terrain are described. The agricultural machine includes a chassis that bears components of the agricultural machine, a data processing apparatus, a sensor unit for detecting an inclination angle of the chassis relative to a reference plane, and a detection apparatus for detecting a travel speed and/or a travelled route, per time unit. Proactive control of the machine is achieved using the data processing apparatus which is configured to calculate a travelled route, in particular per time unit, using a travel speed and/or to calculate a terrain relief using a travelled route, per time unit, and using an inclination angle of the chassis which changes or remains constant along the route.

  • Patent number: 11822352
Abstract: A system and method onboard an aircraft generates pilot awareness of obstacle clearance during an engine out (EO) go around (GA) situation. The system herein receives inputs from either a pilot selection or aircraft state change indicating a GA below a published missed approach altitude and also receives an input from an engine status monitor indicating an EO situation. As a GA below the published missed approach altitude does not ensure obstacle clearance with an EO, the systems herein generate a pseudo engine out go around procedure (PEOGAP) which calculates a minimum climb gradient maintaining a minimum separation from all obstacles within an area bound by the published missed approach. Once generated, the systems herein display the PEOGAP to the pilot for adequate obstacle separation and pilot awareness.
