  • Patent number: 6436031
Abstract: In the present invention, there is provided a masculine brace having a stiff splint member which has an elongated channel configuration, a rear end and a front end. A first pair of straps extends from the rear end of the stiff splint member and jointly define a rear circular clamp oriented transversely relative to the stiff splint member for clamping a penis at its base. A second pair of straps extends from an intermediate region along the stiff splint member at a distance from the first pair of straps, and jointly define a front circular clamp oriented transversely relative to the stiff splint member for clamping a penis at an intermediate region thereof. The masculine brace also comprises a bulb affixed to the front end of the stiff splint member. The bulb has a circular projection in line with the front and rear circular clamps.

  • Patent number: 6431174
Abstract: A patient's upper airway condition such as snoring and sleep apnea is treated by selecting a particulate material selected for limited migration within tissue and for encouraging a fibrotic response of tissue to the material. A bolus of the particulate material is injected into the tissue area to structurally stiffen the tissue.

  • Patent number: 6432038
Abstract: An artificial urinary sphincter operable as a single, uncomplicated component, not prone to failure, and easily repaired. Being preassembled, installation is easy through a single incision in one site. It incorporates an outer cuff having an inner cuff of interconnecting flexible fluid-containing portions. The outer cuff overlaps itself where a spring loaded push button device is installed. The device acts like a retractable ball point pen, pushing on the overlapped portion to compress the fluid-containing portions, to compress and shut the urethra when the push button is first pushed, and then alternately relaxing pressure on the overlapped portion so as to release pressure on the urethra upon additional pushing. Circumferential wires on pulleys mounted on an inner portion of the button alternately contract and relax radially inward pressure on the inner cuff, coordinated with inward pressure and relaxation of overlapped outer cuff portion.

  • Patent number: 6432037
Abstract: A device for stimulating muscles and nerves defining and surrounding an intravaginal cavity of an individual and/or for sensing electrical activity of muscles defining and surrounding an intravaginal cavity is provided. The device includes (a) a body having memory properties such that when the body is contracted and positioned within an intravaginal cavity of the individual the body self expands to conform to a contour of the intravaginal cavity; and (b) at least one pair of electrodes being attached to an exterior surface of the body such that when the body is positioned within the intravaginal cavity, each electrode of the at least one pair of electrodes is biased against a wall of the intravaginal cavity.

  • Patent number: 6432036
Abstract: A device for magnetic focus radiating medical treatment is disclosed. The device has a support member holding both a magnet and a needle therein in a way such that the magnet comes into contact with the needle. The magnet is used for generating lines of magnetic force, while the needle is used for radiating the lines of magnetic force from the magnet onto a desired part of the human body. A hollow casing receives the support member therein with the tip of the needle being selectively projected from the lower end of the casing. This casing has an external thread at its lower end. An outside plug detachably covers the top end of the casing. A cap is movably tightened to the external thread of the casing. This cap also has a needle hole at a central portion of its wall so as to allow the needle to pass through the needle hole.

  • Patent number: 6350230
Abstract: A sexual aid device for producing sexual stimulation having an elongated upper member, an elongated lower member, a means for removably securing the upper and lower members together, a tube member, and a compression means for ejaculating liquid from the tube member. An upper end of the upper member has an aperture therethrough. The elongated lower member has a compartment therein for one or more batteries for powering the device. The tube member has a compressible liquid containment unit on a lower end thereof. A hollow neck member extends upward from the liquid containment unit, the hollow neck member being in fluid communication with the liquid containment unit. The neck member has an open upper end. During use the tube member is positioned inside the device such that the open upper end of the neck member is inserted in the aperture of the upper member. The compression means is configured and positioned to compress the liquid containment unit to thereby ejaculate liquid from the tube member.

  • Patent number: 6344021
Abstract: The invention is concerned with magnetic therapy. To this end there are disclosed magnetic adhesive patches having at least one magnet thereon to be placed directly on the skin of a person. The adhesive patch has a hypoallergenic adhesive on one side on which side at least one magnet is placed thereon. The adhesive/magnetic combination has visual or tactile guides thereon for a correct placement of the any of the magnets relative to the adhesive patch. The adhesive patch, prior to a use, may be placed on a stiff retainer/release liner having one or more depressions therein to accommodate the one or more magnets that are attached to the adhesive side of the adhesive patch. There are disclosed replacement patches for the original patches that may have served a useful life.
