  • Patent number: 4990845
Abstract: A floating current source comprising two identically sized field effect transistors, one defining a reference transistor and the other defining a floating output transistor. The reference transistor has its gate connected to a reference voltage and its source connected to receive an input current from an input current source and to generate a gate-to-source voltage which when applied as a gate-to-source voltage of the floating output transistor will generate an output current in the output transistor equal to the input current. Circuit means are included for applying between the gate and source of the output transistor a voltage equal to the gate-to-source drain voltage of the reference transistor.

  • Patent number: 4987397
Abstract: An electromagnetic switching device having a magnet system with a magnet yoke and armature, this armature being connected to a contact carrier, which is movably guided in the housing of the switching device and has switching contacts lying one behind the other at right angles to the actuating direction. Together with stationary contacts, these switching contacts form make or break contacts, with supporting or locking stops being provided for switching contacts in the contact carrier. The contact carriers are guided with clearance in the housing, so that a tilting is possible. With regard to this tilting motion, the free path, that is the path which is required from the point where all break contacts are disengaged up to the point where all make contact are brought into contact, must be cut off at the last disengaging break contact. To keep this free path relatively long, the stops are arranged in the contact bridge carrier in a staggered manner.

  • Patent number: 4983941
Abstract: An electromagnetically operated switch comprises a cylindrical bobbin having an exciting coil wound thereon; a fixed core arranged in the bobbin and a movable core arranged to confront the fixed core; a flange provided on the fixed core to expand outwardly in the radial direction and located on an end surface of the bobbin; a rod inserted in a through bore formed in the center of the fixed core; a flexible insulating sheet put on the end surface of the flange of the fixed core, having an opening in a central portion, and connected sealingly to the rod which extends through the opening; a cup-shaped cap mounted on the flange end surface to sandwich the sheet between the flange and the cap; and a movable contact supported by the rod in the cap.

  • Patent number: 4980801
Abstract: A protection module is provided for a contact-maker electromagnet. The resistive and capacitive elements of an RC circuit for protecting a contact-maker against parasites are disposed in an insulating module having two projecting receptacles connected together by a third flat receptacle which has passing therethrough connection conductors, two of which are extended by pins adapted for cooperating resiliently with free portions of the terminals of the coil.

  • Patent number: 4980525
Abstract: Linked circuit breakers linked with an interlocking lever having hollows respectively receiving each handle of each circuit breaker and having a groove to be fitted in by the connecting pin positioned between each handle are fixed side-by-side. The groove of the interlocking lever has protrusions which make the groove narrower than the diameter of the connecting pin to fix the connecting pin. Thus, the interlocking lever is mounted easily to the handles of the circuit breakers by the connecting pin which inserts through the through holes of the handles.

  • Patent number: 4959628
Abstract: A rotary electrical switch is provide for a portable power operated surface treating device having a fixed handle assembly, a hollow generally cylindrical roller supported for rotation on and relative to the handle assembly, and an absorbent generally cylindrical applicator sleeve coaxially supported on said roller for rotation therewith. The roller is driven by an electrical motor contained within it and powered by a rechargeable battery also supported within the roller. Operation of the motor is controlled by the rotary electrical switch which includes a pair of magnetically responsive electrical switch contacts contained within the roller and a magnetic switch actuator mounted on the handle assembly.

  • Patent number: 4942382
Abstract: A normally closed electrical switch mechanism having fixed and movable switch assemblies, a spring assembly urging the movable switch assembly away from engagement with the fixed switch assembly to thereby open the switch, a latch member normally securing the movable switch assembly in its position of engagement with the fixed switch assembly, and a mechanism responsive to a predetermined condition external to the switch mechanism for moving the latch member so as to allow the switch to open, is improved in the following manner. A member made of thermoplastic material is positioned between the latch member and the movable switch assembly. The thermoplastic material of that member is then responsive to an overheated condition of the internal switch circuitry for losing its structural rigidity so as to release the movable switch assembly and thereby permit the spring assembly to open the switch even though the latch member remains in place.
