  • Patent number: 11359153
Abstract: A method for preparing biochar, including steps as follows: dosing: putting pre-crushed biomass into a reactor; charring conversion: heating the reactor to a certain temperature and pressure, and putting an active group-containing active agent containing 1% to 5% by mass of biomass and a catalyst containing 1% to 10% by mass of biomass (or putting the catalyst first and then putting the active agent) into the reactor to perform solid solution charring on the biomass; and cooling: after the charring conversion is completed, cooling the reactor to 40° C. or lower to obtain the biochar. Feedstocks are abundant and cheap, farmland biomass waste is reused, and the active group-containing active agent is added in biomass charring, which can effectively inhibit side reactions and coordinate with the catalyst to perform solid solution charring on the biomass, thereby improving a biochar conversion rate and making the charring process clean and environmentally friendly.

  • Patent number: 11339556
Abstract: A device for obtaining water from air on an island includes: a concentrated solution air water obtaining system, a solar collector, a dilute solution dehydration system, a heat pump system, a solution heating system, and a water purification system. Humid air is introduced into the concentrated solution air water obtaining system, which performs a heat and mass transfer into a dilute solution and relatively low-temperature dry air. This air is used as interior fresh air. The diluted solution is heated by the solar collector, delivered to the dilute solution dehydration system, and sent to the solution heating system for heating and evaporating into water vapor. The water purification system cools, purifies, filters and stores the water vapor. At the same time, the heat pump system introduces heated humid air into the dilute solution dehydration system to recover heat contained in the heated humid air, and to extract water.

  • Patent number: 11325087
Abstract: A method, system, and device for separating components is described. A vessel is provided. A first volume of a process liquid, containing a first component and a second component, is passed into an inner chamber. The piston retracts to a first position. The fluid inlet is closed. The piston is retracted to a second position, causing the first component and a first portion of the second component to flash to form a vapor stream while a second portion of the second component freezes to form a solid product stream. The fluid outlet is then opened. The piston is advanced to a third position that results in a third volume, smaller than the first volume, such that the vapor stream is expelled. The fluid outlet is closed. The piston is fully closed such that the solid product stream is pressed into and extruded through the solids outlet.

  • Patent number: 11319491
Abstract: A process for making mesophase and/or isotropic pitch. An aromatic rich liquid is charged at high temperature and pressure to a first thermal polymerization reactor to produce an effluent stream which is flashed to remove unconverted or partially converted feed as a vapor yielding a liquid phase enriched in isotropic pitch. The enriched isotropic pitch liquid is charged to a second thermal reactor and reactor effluent flashed to produce mesophase pitch and a vapor phase. The vapor phases from both flashing steps are condensed and combined for recycle of a liquid aromatic rich stream to the first reactor. Flashing from the first reactor cools the liquid phase which is enriched in isotropic pitch. This enriched stream is mixed with a superheated fluid, preferably steam, upstream of the second reactor.
