  • Patent number: 11665567
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for adapting measurement reporting in a wireless communication network (10) employing carrier aggregation. In order to reduce beam link failures, the UE (200, 500) is configured to adapt measurement reporting for a serving cell (20) depending on a beam link quality of one or more serving downlink beams in the serving cell (20). For example, measurement reporting can be adapted by modifying a reporting frequency at which measurements for one or more downlink beams are sent, by varying a number of non-serving downlink beams for which measurements are sent, or both.

  • Patent number: 11658909
Abstract: A network monitoring engine uses the routing and interface data of a monitored network to enrich received flow records with exit information. The routing data of the same network device at which the flow record is received is used to determine a next hop based upon the destination IP address of the flow record. In addition, interface data of the other devices is used to determine an egress device and interface of the network used to transmit traffic to the identified next hop. The flow record is enriched with exit information indicating an interface of the network the data packets of the flow record are expected to exit the network. By enriching the flow records as they are received, the exit information reflects how traffic is routed through the network at that time, even if the routing or interface information of the network later changes.

  • Patent number: 11581999
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for reference signal design in wireless communications. A base station may select a reference signal density scheme from a set of available density schemes associated with a port count. The reference signal density scheme may also be selected based on the category of the mobile device receiving the reference signal transmissions. The reference signal density scheme may be a higher density reference signal density scheme or a lower density reference signal density scheme, where the higher density reference signal density scheme includes more reference signal resource elements per subframe. The mobile device may determine the reference signal density scheme based on characteristics of a channel. The higher density reference signal density scheme may provide additional channel estimation opportunities for the mobile device. In some cases, the mobile device sends the channel estimated based on the received reference signals to the base station.

  • Patent number: 11496399
Abstract: Techniques for improved routing based on network traffic are provided. Telemetry data relating to a first network node of a plurality of network nodes in a locator ID separation protocol (LISP) fabric is received. A first portion of the telemetry data that relates to a first destination of a plurality of destinations is identified. Further, a first routing weight associated with a first interface of the first network node is revised based on the first portion of the telemetry data, where the first interface is associated with the first destination. The revised first routing weight is published to a second plurality of network nodes in the LISP fabric, wherein the second plurality of network nodes route packets to the first network node based in part on the revised first routing weight.

  • Patent number: 11368926
Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to reporting a power limit along with an indication of at least one constraint upon which the power limit is based. In some aspects, the constraint is a radio frequency (RF) exposure constraint. For example, a power headroom limit calculated by a first apparatus may be constrained by a specific absorption rate (SAR) limit or a maximum permissible exposure (MPE) limit. The first apparatus may thus report to a second apparatus the current power headroom limit of the first apparatus along with an indication of whether the power headroom limit is constrained by an SAR limit or an MPE limit (e.g., as opposed to being constrained by a maximum transmit power limit). The second apparatus may then schedule the first apparatus taking into account the power headroom limit and the corresponding constraint (e.g., maximum power or SAR/MPE).

  • Patent number: 11310158
Abstract: A key is descriptive of a data packet, and a fingerprint hash function is applied to such a key to generate a fixed length fingerprint of the key. An index value is determined based on a portion of the fingerprint. A hash table could be populated by storing in a memory, at a memory location associated with the index value: a remainder of the fingerprint other than the portion of the fingerprint that was used to determine the index value, to indicate that data packets consistent with the key are to be handled in accordance with packet handling metadata. During packet processing, if a memory location associated with an index value stores a remainder of the fingerprint other than the portion of the fingerprint that was used to determine the index value, a data packet is handled according to packet handling metadata associated with the fingerprint.
