  • Patent number: 10938626
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for managing gateway switchovers. An indication is received that a primary gateway will be switched to a backup gateway. In response to the indication, a response is made to a periodic health probe that a gateway switchover has been initiated. Incoming data traffic is forwarded from the primary gateway to the backup gateway. Subsequent to an elapsed time delay, a response is made to the periodic health probe that the primary gateway will no longer accept incoming data traffic. The time delay may be based at least in part on one or more of a time interval of the periodic poll and a time to effect the gateway switchover. The forwarding of the incoming data traffic from the primary gateway to the backup gateway is terminated.

  • Patent number: 10931586
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide a multi-access edge computing (MEC) prediction service. A network device in a MEC network receives a predicted MEC route for an end device executing an application instance. The predicted MEC route identifies a projected time when the end device will connect to the network device for services and a service requirement for the application instance. The network device reserves resources to service the application instance at the projected time, based on the predicted MEC route. The network device provides a computing service for the application instance using the reserved resources when the end device initiates a data session with the network device.

  • Patent number: 10901425
Abstract: Embodiments, systems, and methods for navigational planning of a mobile programmable agent are provided. In some embodiments, the navigational planning may include identifying a plurality of dynamic objects in a physical environment having an origin and a destination. The physical environment is divided into a plurality of plane figures. The location of a centroid of each plane figure can then be calculated. A network of segments is formed from the origin to the destination intersecting the centroids. At least one channel is determined from the origin to the destination using a set of segments. A set of gates is identified along the at least one channel. The state of the gates is selectively determined based on movement of the dynamic objects. A pathway can then be identified within the channel for the mobile programmable agent to traverse from the origin to the destination based on the state of the gates.

  • Patent number: 10880043
Abstract: Methods and computer systems for establishing an interactive consistency property between receivers of messages. Messages are transmitted to receivers by a sender over a communication network including disjoint communication paths for connecting receivers and sender. Switches include local clocks. Local clocks of non-faulty switches are synchronized to each other with a maximum error (precision), and receivers detect switch failures. Redundant copies of a message are forwarded by sender to each receiver across different disjoint communication paths. A switch of each disjoint path is configured such that redundant copies are forwarded to each receiver with a temporal distance between disjoint paths. That distance is selected such that all non-faulty receivers receive redundant copies in the same receive order, when the switches and communication links of the disjoint paths exhibit no failure.

  • Patent number: 10791045
Abstract: Virtual channel assignment in a network is achieved by constructing a Traffic Conflict Graph (TCG) dependent upon a network interconnect topology. The TCG has vertices corresponding to traffic entries in a network specification and edges that connect pairs of vertices. An edge weight, dependent upon interconnect topology and traffic flow characteristics, is assigned to each edge. The vertices are colored using minimum or soft coloring and the virtual channels are mapped to the traffic entries, according to the resulting colors, to provide a virtual channel assignment. The TCG may be constructed by generating a vertex in the TCG to represent each traffic entry, assigning a traffic flow characteristic of a traffic entry to a corresponding vertex and generating an edge between first and second vertices when a number of ‘qualified’ common edges, across all routes for corresponding traffic entries, is greater than zero.
