    Abstract: A louver cover for a pergola, arbor and the like has pivotal elongated slat assemblies that move between an open upright position and a closed position covering the pergola. The cover is secured between upright supports and cross beams of the pergola. Each slat assembly has a pivotal shaft mounted for pivotal movement between parallel cross beams. The pivotal shaft carries at least one slat member, which is movable between an upright position when the cover is open and a closed position when the slat assemblies extend in covering relationship over the pergola. In one embodiment, each slat assembly has a slat member with S-shaped profile, and in another embodiment the slat assembly has two mirror image slat members of J-shaped profile.
