Abstract: This application pertains to gift-giving and video-dropping methods and systems. A gift drop or a video drop is facilitated using a mobile smart device and an interactive map. The system includes a gift or video drop database stored in a remote gift drop computer server. The system includes a gift or video drop logic section operable on a smart mobile device or a computer. The gift or video drop logic section includes an interactive gift or video drop map. The gift or video drop logic section presents the interactive gift or video drop map to a user, and facilitates the dropping of a symbolic gift item or a video onto the interactive map. The gift or video drop logic section determines whether the user is within certain predefined geographic boundaries, and either makes visible or gives a symbolic gift item to the user based on their location, or plays the video.

Abstract: The present invention provides a digital broadcast receiver capable of executing functions having higher added values. The broadcast receiver receives a broadcast wave of a digital broadcast service, controls an operation including activation and end of an application that is in cooperation with a broadcast program based on application-related information, and selects control relating to reactivation of the application based on a user's operation. If activation of the application is requested after the end of the application, the broadcast receiver controls the reactivation or non-reactivation of the application in accordance with the selection of control by the user.

For example, a process can include obtaining media content and generate, use one or more machine learning models, a metadata file for at least a portion of the media content. The metadata file includes one or more metadata descriptions. The process can include generating a text description of the media content based on the one or more metadata descriptions of the metadata file. The process can include annotating the media content use the text description.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a synthetic video based on an audio are provided. An exemplary system may include a memory storing computer-readable instructions and at least one processor. The processor may execute the computer-readable instructions to perform operations. The operations may include receiving a reference video including a motion picture of a human face and receiving the audio including a speech. The operations may also include generating a synthetic motion picture of the human face based on the reference video and the audio. The synthetic motion picture of the human face may include a motion of a mouth of the human face presenting the speech. The motion of the mouth may match a content of the speech. The operations may further include generating the synthetic video based on the synthetic motion picture of the human face.

A vehicular environment estimation device that is mounted in the own vehicle detects a behavior of another vehicle in the vicinity of the own vehicle, and estimates a travel environment, which affects the traveling of another vehicle, on the basis of the behavior of another vehicle. For example, the presence of another vehicle, which is traveling in a blind area, is estimated on the basis of the behavior of another vehicle. Therefore, it is possible to estimate a vehicle travel environment that cannot be recognized by the own vehicle but can be recognized by another vehicle in the vicinity of the own vehicle.

Abstract: A system and method for determining a similarity measure between a first network broadcast time segment and a second network broadcast time segment. The method includes generating first training data comprising groupings of similar broadcast networks and groupings of dissimilar broadcast networks, extracting second training data comprising audience data and genre data for time segments of network broadcasts, and training an encoder neural network based on the first and second training data. The method includes executing the trained neural network with input data comprising the first network broadcast time segment and determining a similarity measure relative to the second network broadcast time segment.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for storing configuration data as a set of master data and override data where one set of configuration data is defined as the master and every other set of configuration data is defined as override configuration data. A media guidance application may generate master configuration data including the most common configuration data used in the geographical region served by the media guidance application, and number of override configurations which contain only those data which differ from the master configuration data for a number of sub-regions of the geographical region. This reduces duplicative configuration data, and the media guidance application need only store one full set of configuration data, namely the master configuration data, and a number of smaller override configurations.
