  • Patent number: 11267402
Abstract: The disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for prioritizing driver warnings in a vehicle. In one example, a first sensor in the vehicle may detect a first driving event, such as, for example, another vehicle that is traveling in a blind spot of the driver. A second sensor in the vehicle may detect a second driving event, such as, for example, that the driver of the vehicle is tailgating another vehicle. A driver warning system in the vehicle produces a driver warning based on prioritizing one of the two driving events. For example, the driver warning system may prioritize a warning pertaining to the tailgating action over a warning pertaining to the vehicle moving in the blind spot. In some cases, the prioritization may be carried out by using historical information about the two driving events.

  • Patent number: 11263890
Abstract: The vehicle occupancy reminder is configured for use with a vehicle that is further defined with a vehicle engine control unit (VECU) that generates an ignition off signal and a door open signal. The vehicle occupancy reminder monitors the vehicle for a passenger in a child safety seat. The vehicle occupancy reminder generates a plurality of alarms when: a) a passenger is detected in the child safety seat after the VECU has transmitted an ignition off signal to the vehicle occupancy reminder; or, b) a passenger is detected in the child safety seat after the VECU has transmitted a door open signal to the vehicle occupancy reminder. When the vehicle occupancy reminder detects a selected alarm condition alarm condition, the vehicle occupancy reminder generates a plurality of visual, audible, and tactile alarms that alert an appropriate authority that a selected alarm condition has occured.

  • Patent number: 11247636
Abstract: A vehicle electronic key system acquires a vehicle vibration, which is a vibration generated in a vehicle, at a time of a driver's door of the vehicle being closed after a driver is presumed to get in the vehicle, and a key vibration, which is a vibration generated in an electronic key, at the time of the driver's door being closed after the driver is presumed to get in the vehicle. The system determines whether or not the vehicle vibration and the key vibration at the time of the driver's door being closed match each other, and permits an operation of a predetermined operation target device mounted in the vehicle on the condition that the vehicle vibration and the key vibration match each other.

  • Patent number: 11238709
Abstract: A system includes a sequencer that divides a reference waveform into reference sequences, a sequence adjuster, and a model that models non-linearities of a haptic rendering signal chain that includes a haptic transducer load and a driver to the load. For each reference sequence: the sequence adjuster transforms the reference sequence into a test sequence using one or more parameters (e.g., changes reference sequence amplitude and/or period), the model generates an output in response to the test sequence, an error signal is generated that measures a difference between the output and the reference sequence, and if the error signal is above a threshold the parameters are adjusted based on the error signal. These operations are repeated until the error signal is below the threshold in which case the test sequence becomes a selected sequence, which is then sent to the haptic rendering signal chain.

  • Patent number: 11232693
Abstract: A help-seeking method and system for indoor care are provided. A presentation information code is obtained through the acquired human body presentation information in each preset height section, and a help-seeking message is generated when a duration in which the presentation information code matches a target code is greater than a time threshold corresponding to the target code. All possible behavioral postures of a human body in daily activities are converted into and represented by respective target codes, and the target codes are associated with time and preset in the system. By recording duration in which the human body presentation information code for an elder during indoor activities matches the corresponding target code, a help-seeking message can be generated for an abnormal situation in which the duration of a behavioral posture is greater than the time threshold for the matched target code.
