  • Patent number: 11049383
Abstract: A system functions as a safeguard against vehicular heat-related deaths (heatstroke-hyperthermia) or injuries, as well as providing for theft security in vehicles. This system will incorporate a combination of hardware and software components locally within the vehicle and externally ‘Cloud’ based. At the vehicular level, the hardware involves sensors to detect various pertinent data which in turn is fed into an Electronic Control Unit (ECU). Here the data is collected, processed and stored locally. The software includes algorithms that interact from the ECU to the Cloud server and subsequently to various Internet of Things devices. If certain set thresholds are met upon data analysis at the ECU, this triggers an ‘event’ and packets of data is streamed via a network to ‘SPOT’, the Cloud based component for subsequent lifesaving notifications, or if no network connectivity available then evasive preventative measures are executed by the system ECU locally.

  • Patent number: 10997852
Abstract: A wireless phasing voltmeter transmitting two bits per second includes a reference unit using two audio frequency pulses per second to modulate a radio frequency carrier wave for simplex transmission of phase information to a field unit. The time between the two data bits is proportional to the phase difference between the reference voltage waveform and a first GPS-signal based waveform. The audio frequency of the two audio pulses representing the two data bits points to the frequency of the electric grid, rising when the grid frequency is faster and falling when the grid frequency is slower. A meter probe measures the phase angle of the field conductor against a second GPS generated waveform. Comparison yields the phase angle difference between the field conductor and the reference conductor. The radio frequency simplex data transmission perhaps using a cellphone data link, transmitting lower data rates is more reliable over greater distances.

  • Patent number: 10953794
Abstract: A loudspeaker 14 outputs a warning sound for announcing the presence of a vehicle to the outside of the vehicle. A travel start detection unit 122 detects travel start of the vehicle. A sound pressure control unit 124 controls sound pressure of the warning sound to be output from the loudspeaker 14, depending on travel status of the vehicle. The sound pressure control unit 124 makes the loudspeaker 14 output the warning sound during stopping of the vehicle, and increases the sound pressure of the warning sound upon detection of travel start of the vehicle. This makes it possible to announce the travel start of a low-noise vehicle such as an electrically powered vehicle, without making the surroundings feel unnatural.

  • Patent number: 10953304
Abstract: Systems, methods and software products optimize installation and operation of an object tracking system. Performance of the athlete tracking system is continually monitored and optimized based upon one or more of: statically positioned tags, grouping tags within two or more tag sets to assign ping rates, selecting receiver configuration and aim dynamically based upon environmental and situational conditions. Tracking tags are improved to facilitate coupling of the tag to an athlete and may be self-configurable. A trackable protection pad allows a tracking tag to be positioned substantially horizontal when the athlete is competing. A data replay tool replays location tracking information in chronological order and visually plots location of tracking tags and errors in the determined location. A tag manager automatically configures the tracking tags. A robotic vehicle automated installation of the object tracking system.
