Patent number: 6309226Abstract: An electrical connection box having a housing with one or more electrical components therein. A plurality of holding chambers are in communication with the housing. A busbar, having a plurality of tab terminals thereon, is inserted into the holding chambers through an opening in the main case. Similarly, wire terminals, mounted on the ends of wires, are also inserted through the opening into the holding chambers. There are engagement pieces which secure the busbar and the wire terminals in the main case and housings whereby each of the holding chambers is capable of receiving and securing either the busbar or a wire terminal.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 1999Date of Patent: October 30, 2001Assignee: Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Ltd.Inventor: Eiji Nakatani

Patent number: 6261128Abstract: There is provided a contacting device (1) for chip cards, preferably for SIM cards, comprising a base (2), a slider (12) arranged at the base (2) and being movable with respect to the base (2), the chip card (4) being slidable between an insert/removal position and a reading position by means of said slider, and means (7, 22) for inhibiting removal of the slider from the contacting device (1). Preferably, the slider (12) is slidably mounted to the base (2) and is in abutting engagement with an abutment in the insert/removal position such that the slider (12) cannot be removed from the contacting device (1), i.e. the slider (12) cannot be moved beyond the insert/removal position. Thus, the contacting device does not comprise any loose parts that could get lost.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2000Date of Patent: July 17, 2001Assignee: Amphenol-Tuchel Electronics GmbHInventors: Michael Heim, Andreas Laage

Patent number: 6227901Abstract: The present invention provides a motor boot for mechanically and electrically connecting a motor to a circuit board and includes a vibrational damping housing constructed of elastomeric material. The housing has a slot formed therein and a receptacle for slidably receiving and releasably securing the motor therein by interference fit. The receptacle includes a cut-out in fluid flow communication with the slot for receiving the electrical pad of the motor. A vibrational damping connector disposed in the slot and contacts the pad of the motor thereby creating electrical communication between the motor and circuit board. The connector is constructed of an electrically conductive elastomeric material, absorbs mechanical energy of the motor, transfers electrical energy of the motor to the circuit board. The connector is integrally formed with the housing thereby making the motor boot of one piece construction or is slidably received and releasably secured within the slot by interference fit.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 1998Date of Patent: May 8, 2001Assignee: Thomas & Betts International, Inc.Inventors: Edward J. Patent number: 6227896Abstract: A terminal connection mechanism used in an electroluminescent display structure primarily comprises a display panel housed in a decorative case and a terminal portion provided on the lower end of the display panel to receive a connector affixed by electrical conductive wires. The connector is provided on one side wall face thereof with a resilient locating plate that enables the connector to be detachably secured in position in the case. Thus the terminal connection mechanism according to the invention can provide an electroluminescent display the convenience in connection and separation between a display panel and its electrical conductive wires. It has practical value in industry.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 2000Date of Patent: May 8, 2001Inventor: George Chang

Patent number: 5562484Abstract: An electrical terminal washer (40) includes a substantially flat contact wall (42) having an aperture (44) therein and four curved wall portions (48-54) depending from the contact wall (42) and forming an internal cavity (58) within the washer (40). Two opposing wall portions (48,52) have curved engagement ribs (28) disposed within the internal cavity. A stud (10) includes a connection end (12) which extends through the aperture (44) in the washer (40) and a hexagonal tightening portion (22) receivable within the internal cavity. The length of each rib (28) is greater than the length of each surface of the tightening portion (22) to enable the washer (40) to rotate on the stud (10) and to avoid the need for indexing the washer (40) on the stud (10) during assembly.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 1995Date of Patent: October 8, 1996Assignee: Delphi France Automotive SystemsInventors: Richard Mlynarz, Jacques Joron

Patent number: 4925407Abstract: Contacts comprising nickel and a glass-forming additive have electrical contact properties which render them suitable as replacements for gold contacts; disclosed contacts have low contact resistance even after prolonged exposure to an oxidizing ambient. The glass-forming additive is one or several of the elements boron, silicon, germanium, phosphorus, arsenic, antimony, or bismuth, and contacts are readily formed, e.g., as layers on substrates. A crystallographically disordered structure is produced in a contact surface layer at least upon exposure to an oxidizing ambient; alternatively, such desired structure can be produced by ion bombardment and even in the absence of glass-forming additives.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 1986Date of Patent: May 15, 1990Assignee: American Telephone and Telegraph CompanyInventors: Joachim J.
