Abstract: A distribution of a content selection being distributed throughout a wireless mesh network may be tracked. A wireless device in the wireless mesh network enables the content selection to be exchanged. Wireless devices then exchange the content, and a network topology is recorded in response. Finally, the network topology is reported to a reporting agent.

The service access control system includes: a server providing an Internet protocol service; and a browser agent including device information and service information and controlling the access of a device to the server. When the service access control system is used, device dependence can be minimized in an embedded browser-based IPTV service, and the IPTV service can be freely used by utilizing only a browser.
Abstract: An enhanced tag management system is disclosed comprising a networked resource/asset prefetch feature. In some examples, the tag management system comprises a recommendation system, a collection system, a non-volatile data store, a user computing device with cache memory, and/or other components. The enhanced tag management system permits prefetching of resource/assets, such as images, videos, widgets, etc., while avoiding the skewing of analytical results. As a result, a user computing device may enjoy enhanced performance and reduced latency without sacrificing the reliability of collected analytics data.
Abstract: A system for allocating a different class of service to each network connection in a plurality of network connections, where each network connection corresponds to one or more virtual channels. The system can include a plurality of virtual channels that connect a first computer and a second computer. Each virtual channel can service at least a portion of the network traffic generated using a remote-display protocol. The system can also include a plurality of network connections, where each network connection corresponds to at least one of the virtual channels. Each network connection of the system can have an assigned port number and an assigned class of service that corresponds to a transmission priority level. The class of service assigned to each network connection can be unique from the classes of service assigned to other network connections.
Abstract: A method and system is provided that enables generation of messages for various types of card activated terminal devices such as automated teller machines. Automated teller machines operate responsive to a variety of ATM message formats. The transaction processing system may generate ATM messages one of the ATM message formats using information associated with the ATM message format that is stored in a data store. The transaction processing system may include among its software components a message gateway router (MGR) which is operate to use information stored in the data store to convert messages from an internal message format to a variety of external message formats used by the automated teller machine.

Abstract: A method and system for preventing a local display device from, displaying data generated by a remote computing device is described. The system includes a local agent for facilitating a remote session; an operating system generating a request to enable a display device controlled by a display adapter; and a filter executing in a driver and in communication with the local agent, the filter intercepting the request generated by the operating system. The filter transmits the request to the local agent when a remote user is active or to the display adapter when the remote user is inactive. The filter will transmits a signal to the operating system that the display adapter has enabled the display device when the filter transmits the request to at least one of the local agent and the display adapter.
Abstract: A computing device may receive multiple recordings or transmissions from one or more source devices. The recordings may include geo-tag information to relate the recordings to a specific event. The computing device may receive from a client device a request for the recordings. Responsive to the received request, the computing device may transmit the recordings to the client device. The computing device may receive from the client device an identification of which recording(s) are preferred over the course of the event, and may compile statistics related to the preferred selections over the course of the event as received from a plurality of client devices. The computing device may generate a “best-cut” recording or summary version of the event based on the most preferred recording at various points in time during the event, based on the compiled statistics.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for recommending artifacts based on collaboration events in a collaborative environment comprising inferring, based on dynamic interaction, a group of close collaborators for a current user from at least one collaboration event, suggesting relevant artifacts based on one or more interaction patterns of the inferred group of close collaborators and grouping the suggested relevant artifacts into one or more high-level explanations for the current user based on the at least one collaboration event.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for dynamic resolution of content references for streaming media are described. In one innovative aspect, a device for obtaining a media stream is provided. The device includes a receiver configured to receive a location independent persistent identifier for the media stream. The device includes a resolution circuit configured to identify a location of the media stream based at least in part on the location independent persistent identifier. The device includes a media acquisition circuit configured to obtain the media stream based at least in part on the identified location. In some implementations, the resolution circuit is configured to identify a rewrite rule for the media stream and generate a rewritten identifier based on the identified rewrite rule and at least one of the location independent persistent identifier or the identified location.
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention disclose a system, method and program product for determining the affects of management actions. In an example, a computer determines a connectivity between one or more devices within a management inventory that are connected via a network. The computer determines a connectivity between the one or more devices within the management inventory after a proposed management action. The computer determines the one or more devices affected by the proposed management action. The computer sends a query to the one or more devices affected by the proposed management action for specific impacts of the proposed management action. The computer receives data related to the specific impacts of the proposed management action from the one or more devices affected by the proposed management action.

Abstract: Example methods and apparatus to transmit device description files to a host are disclosed. A disclosed example method includes communicatively coupling a field device to the host to provision the field device within a process control system, receiving an indication that the host does not include a version of a device description file that corresponds to a version of the field device, accessing the device description file from a memory of the field device, and transmitting the device description file from the field device to the host.
Abstract: A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) session dialog is established between a first user agent and a second user agent. The SIP server receives an in-dialog message for the SIP session dialog. At this point, the SIP server is no longer aware of the SIP session dialog, for example, because the SIP server was rebooted. In response to receiving the in-dialog message, the SIP server sends a request not found message to the first user agent that comprises a server accessible value. The SIP server receives an out-of-dialog SIP REFER message. The out-of-dialog SIP REFER message comprises call state information for the SIP session dialog and is sent based on the server accessible value. The SIP server sends the out-of-dialog SIP REFER message to the second user agent. The SIP session dialog is reestablished. The SIP server can be a SIP proxy server or a Back-to-Back User Agent.
Abstract: A system and method for the late-biding of time-based media in real-time With late binding, the sender may create time-based media before or at the same time an active delivery route to the recipient is discovered. As soon as the route becomes available, the media is transmitted. The existing DNS and email infrastructure is possibly used for route discovery, while any real-time transmission protocol may be used for the actual delivery of the media. “Progressive” emails may also be used for the real-time delivery of time-based media.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for searching and processing contacts. A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a mobile communication device has a transceiver, and a controller for controlling operations thereof. The controller is programmed to receive from an end user of the mobile communication device a request for a contact, and search for the contact in a phonebook of the mobile communication device. The controller is programmed to replace the caller identification of the mobile communication device with a corresponding caller identification that emulates the enterprise identification as if the mobile originated call originated from within the enterprise when the mobile communication device is not located within a vicinity of the enterprise. Additional embodiments are also disclosed.
Abstract: A first database implemented on a remote device such as a handheld computer may be reconciled with a corresponding second database implemented on a host computer during execution of an application program on the handheld device. In addition, the application program may be executed according to program instructions stored in an application program file located in the remote device. The databases may be reconciled by first commencing execution of the application program. Then, during the course of program execution, a synchronization instruction located in said application program file is retrieved. The synchronization instruction is executed by establishing a communications link between the handheld computer and the host computer. Subsequently, any difference between the first database and the second database are reconciled.
Abstract: A media distribution system is provided in which a primary means of transport for digital media is through a device with housing shaped as an optical disc and insertable into various current and future optical disc drive devices. Media travels from different digital sources such as a personal media library and other networked resources to embedded memory on the optical disc shaped device via a capable personal computer or electronic device. This media is then able to be presented in the most appropriate format in a number of different types of current and legacy devices with optical drives such as CD audio devices and DVD players.
