The system further comprises thermal sensors in communication with the controller, which allow for management of the louvers' position to maximize energy efficiency.
Abstract: A joiner clip for securing panels to a substrate is provided that includes a planar sheet of material that has a bottom portion terminating in outer edges. A pair of legs extends downward from the outer edges and terminating in a retaining shelf clip adapted to support a bottom edge of an inserted panel. Mounting holes form countersunk indents in the planar sheet that offsets the joiner clip from the substrate. A construction unit is also provided has such a joiner clip secured to a vertical stud substrate. At least inserted panel is supported in the retaining shelf clip of a first leg of the clip. A joint is readily formed between two inserted panels. Fasteners through an inserted panel secure the same to the clip and substrate. An additional siding strip is readily secured to the substrate below the pair of legs.
Abstract: A deck plank readily attaches to an engagement clip when force is applied generally from the upper surface down on the plank. When a plurality of clips are attached to underlying surface, and a plurality of deck planks are oriented to the clips and urged into engagement, a secure deck structure is provided. The deck plank surface extends laterally beyond the outside vertical supporting panel (32) and turns downward to form downward facing supporting leg (45). The opposite side of the deck plank between outside supporting leg (35) and outside vertical supporting panel (34) forms a water resistant cavity that does not get penetrated by fasteners due to the underside clipping means. The deck plank and clipping system allows the individual repair of deck planks without removing the adjacent deck planks.
Abstract: A ceiling system in one embodiment includes a grid support member, a ceiling panel, a torsion spring mounted on the ceiling panel, and a spring clip slideably mounted on the grid support member and configured to retain the spring. The spring clip includes a pair of resilient locking tabs engaging the grid support member to lock the clip to the member, thereby preventing withdrawing the clip from the support member. In one embodiment, the locking tabs form a snap-fit to the grid support member. The spring clip is positionable in a plurality of axial mounting positions on the grid support member to facilitate mounting the ceiling panel. In one embodiment, the grid support member may have a T-shaped cross section.

Abstract: An internally threaded anchor for use in poured concrete floors having a metal deck or a wood form. The threaded anchor provides quick and easy attachment to threaded support rods that carry racks for utilities, piping, or ceiling grid systems. Each threaded anchor is capable of accepting different diameter rods or bolts with different thread cuts. Each anchor accepts the different diameter threaded rods by a single insertion motion, without the need to thread the rod into the anchor. Full insertion is visually verifiable when the marked end of the rod inserted into the anchor is no longer visible. An authentication tag visible upon full insertion indicates that authorized rod is being used.

Abstract: An apparatus to tie concrete or masonry forms to existing concrete, block, or masonry structures, comprising an elongate, generally cylindrical bar. Said bar comprises, at one end, a means for anchoring the apparatus into an existing structure, at the other end, a means for coupling said apparatus to a form, and, connecting the ends to each other, a shank.
Abstract: A skylight system uses multiple stationary tilted reflectors aimed in different compass directions, including inverted pyramidal or wedge geometry to enhance the light output of a skylight using a conventional horizontal penetration into the building. The reflectors are made of very low cost metallized polymer film, and configured to maximize the useful lumen output of the skylight over the whole day and over the whole year. The skylight system furthermore improves the light distribution under the horizontal penetration by directing more light vertically into the working space beneath the roof penetration rather than horizontally onto walls and into the building occupants' eyes, creating glare and discomfort.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a flooring system base unit (1), made of a resilient material, and comprising a first portion (3) having a first surface (4) which, in use, contacts the floor to cover, and a second surface (5), opposite to said first surface (4), a second portion (7) set above said first portion (3), at least one space (9) provided on said second surface (5) of said first portion (3) and provided by a side edge of said second portion (7), anchoring means provided through said first and second portions (3, 7) to anchor said base unit (1) to the floor to cover.
Abstract: A transparent structural element for covers extruded in a synthetic thermoplastic material includes two or more horizontal sheets parallel to each other and shaped to form a corrugated profile, wherein the two or more sheets are spaced and connected by a plurality of ribs having an undulating trend, the ribs having an undulating trend being present in both flat parts of the corrugated section and in tilted connection parts between the flat parts. In one embodiment, the transparent structural element for covers is made of polycarbonate (PC) or polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA).
Abstract: A device for spreading fowl decoys on the surface of a body of water. A hub sits below the surface is removably coupleable with up to four arm arrangements. Arm arrangements are jointed, allowing hub and arm arrangements to sit below the surface of the water while decoys float on surface. Hub is connected to an anchor on the bottom of the body of water, and can be displaced horizontally with a pull cord. Cords in the arm arrangements allow for near-random motion of attached decoys, simulating a swimming motion of fowl. Hub can be displaced vertically with a pull cord, causing the decoys to dip head first into the water, simulating a feeding motion of water fowl. Hubs can be combined by coupling arm arrangements from each hub. When displaced horizontally in the water, hubs not attached to the pull cord move semi-randomly, creating more random motion in decoys.

Abstract: Semi-floating floorboards/building panels having mechanical joint systems, a core with curved edge portions so the surface layer on top of the core will be located below the panel surface, and where the edges of the floorboard have a bevel such that in which the joint system, when two floorboards are joined and pressed towards each other, the surface layer 31 and a part of the core 30 of the joint edge portion 19 in the second joint edge 4b overlaps the surface layer 31 that is substantially parallel to the horizontal plane of the first joint edge 4a of the other floorboard. Further, floorboards/building panels are produced by machining the surface structure with a plurality of core grooves 20, 20? and applying the surface layer 31 on the upper side of the core 30 to at least partly cover a floor element. A pressure is applied and the surface layer 31 forms around the core grooves 20, 20?.
