Abstract: A batch composition for concrete includes a cementious material and aggregate material, the cementious material including at least 50% Portland cement and at least 1% of a dolomite mineral filler. The batch composition may be mixed with sufficient water to cause the cementious material in the batch composition to set and bind the entire mass to form a concrete.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a bentonite modifier, comprising a water-soluble thiosulfate, a water-soluble alcohol compound, and a water-soluble amine compound, wherein the amounts of thiosulfate, the alcohol compound, and the amine compound are in the ratio of (0.3˜1):(0.3˜1):(0.3˜1). The present disclosure further relates to a bentonite-containing cement additive capable of resisting permeation and salt corrosion, comprising bentonite and said modifier, wherein the content of the bentonite modifier is 0.2˜5% of the bentonite by weight. Meanwhile, the present disclosure also provides use of the modified bentonite.
Abstract: A wellbore cement composition includes substantially unhydrated cement powder and additive powder for cement. The additive powder is formulated from ingredients including a liquid additive for cement and solid carrier particles. The liquid additive is absorbed by the solid carrier particles. A wellbore cementing method includes using a dry cement composition, adding water to the dry cement composition, forming a cement slurry, placing the slurry in a wellbore, and setting the placed slurry. The dry cement composition contains substantially unhydrated cement powder and retarder powder for cement. The retarder powder contains a retarder absorbed by solid carrier particles.

Abstract: A method for making geopolymer cementitious binder compositions for cementitious products such as concrete, precast construction elements and panels, mortar, patching materials for road repairs and other repair materials, and the like is disclosed. The geopolymer cementitious compositions of some embodiments are made by mixing a synergistic mixture of thermally activated aluminosilicate mineral, calcium sulfoaluminate cement, a calcium sulfate and a chemical activator with water.
Abstract: The present invention provides a composition for forming a lightweight, low shrinkage and hydrophobic cementitious matrix, and a method for preparing thereof. The present cementitious matrix formed by the composition is lightweight, hydrophobic (or water repelling) and with low shrinkage which is useful in building and construction industry as non-structural wall resistant to water, heat and sound entry. The present invention also provides a method of preparing the composition and the cementitious matrix formed from the composition.
