  • Patent number: 4123100
Abstract: The arrangement shown and described herein is used to seal a closure structure of a vehicle body. A weatherstrip including metal strip inserts is molded in the usual manner and is then crimped into its operational "U" shape around an extruded tubular rubber member located at the bottom of the U-shape, the tubular member substantially filling the space heretofore selectively filled with a bead of butyl mastic sealant. Once the thus formed weatherstrip is installed on a body closure flange or ledge, the edge of the flange or ledge flattens out the tubular member such that the latter effectively and uniformly seals off the inside of the flange or ledge from the outside thereof.

  • Patent number: 4118062
Abstract: A seat in a mass transit vehicle is supported by a shell cantilevered from a side wall of the vehicle interior. The shell comprises a pair of horizontally extending frame members and a trough-shaped structural skin. A blower is mounted within the housing defined by the skin to blow conditioned air through an opening in the bottom of the skin. A deflector is rotatably mounted on the outside of the skin. Vanes on the deflector deflect air blown through the opening in a direction determined by the position to which the deflector has been rotated.

  • Patent number: 4116496
Abstract: In snowmobiles operating under wet snow conditions, compaction of the snow between the upper and lower runs of the snowmobile track may cause undue friction eventually resulting in stalling of the snowmobile. This invention provides a series of projecting ribs on the internal surface of the snowmobile track, the ribs being constructed and arranged to sweep the region between the suspension elements of the snowmobile thereby inhibiting the build up of snow.

  • Patent number: 4114943
Abstract: A boot is provided which includes a resiliently deformable frame shaped to the respective contours of the rear window aperture of the truck cab and front window aperture in the forward wall of the camper. The opposite end walls of the frame terminate in respective continuous thickened lips which respectively snap-fit into corresponding channels provided in the cab and camper window frames. The boot is mounted in the respective window frames without adhesives, nails, screws, bolts or the like. It is also not necessary to remove either window to make the installation. Both windows remain slidable in their frames after installation, and the boot is easily removed therefrom.
