  • Patent number: 9878524
Abstract: A method of making a one-way gas release valve for releasing gas pressure from within a coffee container comprises pre-oiling a relatively narrow dry strap of flexible material and laminating the pre-oiled dry strap between relatively wide ribbons of base and cover material with the dry strap overlying spaced vent patterns in the base material. Alternatively, the base material may be pre-oiled or both the base material and the dry strap may be pre-oiled. The dry strap and base may be made of PET and the cover may be made of mPET. Gas release valves are then die cut from the resulting web with each valve containing a vent pattern. Pre-oiling of the dry strap and/or the base can be accomplished through a roll metered process to insure that the oil is applied in precise amounts and with consistent thickness and coverage.

  • Patent number: 9869297
Abstract: A method for installing an add-on component to a surface of a wind turbine blade includes attaching an adhesive side of strips of a double-sided adhesive tape onto either the surface of the wind turbine blade or a surface of the add-on component, the tape strips having a release liner on an opposite exposed side thereof. The tape strips having an extension tail of the release liner that extends beyond an edge of the add-on component when the add-on component is placed and held at a desired position against the surface of the wind turbine blade. With the add-on component held at the desired position, the extension tail is pulled away at an angle such that that release liner is removed along the length of the tape strip while maintaining the add-on component against the blade surface to attach the exposed adhesive under the release liner to either the surface of the wind turbine blade or the surface of the add-on component.

  • Patent number: 9855734
Abstract: Provided is a method of treating a wafer in the state where the wafer is fixed on a support plate with an adhesive composition. Although the wafer is treated by a chemical, heating, or exothermic treatment, the method achieves sufficient adhesiveness during the step of treating a surface of the wafer and allows detachment of the support plate from the wafer without damaging the wafer or leaving the adhesive on the wafer after the wafer treating step. The method of treating a wafer of the present invention includes the steps of: fixing a wafer on a support plate via an adhesive composition containing a curable adhesive component to be crosslinked and cured by light irradiation or heating; crosslinking and curing the curable adhesive component by light irradiation or heating of the adhesive composition; treating a surface of the wafer fixed on the support plate by a chemical, heating, or exothermic treatment; and detaching the support plate from the treated wafer.
