  • Patent number: 11500347
Abstract: I/O network modules connect field devices to a process control network. Each I/O network module includes a set of electrical connectors for connecting a field device to the module and an I/O channel extending from the set of electrical connectors to a network port. The I/O channel includes a conversion circuit that converts between an I/O signal and network-compatible signals. Each I/O channel connected to the process control network through an I/O network module is associated with its own unique network address. This enables controllers and field devices on the process control network to communicate essentially directly with one another through the network.

  • Patent number: 11463559
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media that generate compressed metric data for digital metrics utilizing a graph-based compression dictionary and time slice compression. For instance, the disclosed systems can utilize a dynamically modifiable graph-based compression dictionary to generate compressed metric label identifiers for metric labels of digital metrics. The graph-based compression dictionary can include nodes and edges corresponding to metric label segments and metric label identifier values, respectively. The disclosed systems can traverse the graph-based compression dictionary using a metric label to determine the corresponding compressed metric label identifier. The disclosed systems can further generate delta compression values for the metric values of the digital metrics. For instance, the disclosed systems can compare metric values within a single time slice (e.g., a time stamp) to generate corresponding delta compression values.

  • Patent number: 11456988
Abstract: A Mapping of Address and Port using Translation (MAP-T) border relay controller for managing and controlling a MAP-T network. Configuration and performance data are collected, by a border relay configuration collector, from one or more MAP-T border relay nodes of a MAP-T network. Internet Protocol (IP) flow data are collected, by an IP flow data collector, across one or more Internet peering routers coupled to the MAP-T network. A network anomaly that impairs performance of the MAP-T network is analyzed, by a logic algorithm module, using the configuration and performance data collected by the border relay configuration collector and the IP flow data collector. A network translation capability of the MAP-T network is reconfigured based on the analysis of the network anomaly and/or availability of network resources.

  • Patent number: 11456954
Abstract: A system and a method are described for data packet fragmentation for replicated packet traffic through an SD-WAN. In an example a first packet has an internet protocol identification (IP-ID). The first packet is replicated to create a second packet. The first packet and the second packet are fragmented into fragments for transmission through a tunnel in one or more paths between the source address and the destination address. The IP-ID of the second packet is modified. The fragments of the first packet and the second packet are separately encapsulated. The first and second packet fragments are received through the tunnel at a second node. The second node reassembles the first packet using the first packet fragments and reassembles the second packet using the second packet fragments. The IP-ID of the reassembled second packet is restored to be the IP-ID of the first packet.

  • Patent number: 11438754
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are set forth for providing digital and non-digital content to a segment of a population that is identified using geolocation data and other activity data. In some implementations, non-digital content is delivered via postal mail to a segment of a population according to whether the segment of the population viewed certain content before, during, or after visiting a particular geographic location. In other implementations, digital content, such as phone calls or voice messages, can be delivered to a segment of a population according whether the segment of the population is present or has recently been present at a particular location and previously viewed certain content associated with the location. Segmenting populations in this way can conserve computational resources and materials that might otherwise be wasted on serving a larger population that may have less of an interest in the content.

  • Patent number: 11431675
Abstract: A system and method are provided for a network device for use with a client device having a hostname and a MAC address. The network device contains a memory that has a second hostname and a second MAC address stored within the memory. The second MAC address corresponds to the second hostname. The memory also contains a processor configured to execute instructions stored on the memory to cause the network device to: receive, from the client device, the hostname and the MAC address; determine whether the MAC address is randomized; provide an instruction to the client device to inform a user of the client device that the client device hostname is registered when the hostname matches the second hostname and the MAC address is randomized.

  • Patent number: 11431674
Abstract: A technique that manages device addresses involves: sending, at a first device, a probe message to at least one other device, wherein the probe message includes a first MAC address of the first device, a first identifier of the first device, and an IP address to be assigned to the first device; receiving a message from a second device, the message including a second MAC address of the second device, a second identifier of the second device, and an IP address of the second device; and according to a determination that the IP address of the second device is the same as the IP address to be assigned to the first device, providing a probe alert including the identifies and indicating that an IP address conflict occurs. By writing device IDs in messages transmitted across a network, devices that may have an IP address conflict can be quickly detected.

  • Patent number: 11425432
Abstract: In various embodiments, an interpolation-based encoding application encodes a first subsequence included in a media title at each encoding point included in a first set of encoding points to generate encoded subsequences. Subsequently, the interpolation-based encoding application performs interpolation operation(s) based on the encoded subsequences to estimate a first media metric value associated with a first encoding point that is not included in the first set of encoding points. The interpolation-based encoding application then generates an encoding recipe based on the encoded subsequences and the first media metric value. The encoding recipe specifies a different encoding point for each subsequence included in the media title. After determining that the encoding recipe specifies the first encoding point for the first subsequence, the interpolation-based encoding application encodes the first subsequence at the first encoding point to generate at least a portion of an encoded version of the media title.

  • Patent number: 11418481
Abstract: Systems and methods may include sending, to a network registrar, a first message including a first nonce generated by a host computing device, and receiving, from the network registrar, a second message including a second nonce, the second nonce being signed by the network registrar via a private key of a first public key infrastructure (PKI) key pair of the network registrar via a first signature. The method further includes sending a first neighbor advertisement (NA) message to the host computing device including the second nonce. The second nonce and the private key of the network registrar verifies the first signature from the network registrar, the verification of the first signature indicating that the router is not impersonating the network.
