  • Patent number: 9912233
Abstract: A voltage converter can be switched among two or more modes to produce an output voltage tracking a reference voltage that can be of an intermediate level between discrete levels corresponding to the modes. One or more voltages generated from a power supply voltage, such as a battery voltage, can be compared with the reference voltage to determine whether to adjust the mode. The reference voltage can be independent of the power supply voltage. Further, the voltage converter may implement frequency modulation and a pulse skipping mode to improve the efficiency of switching operational states of the voltage converter.

  • Patent number: 9888403
Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing trace recording in a wireless communication system is provided. It is assumed that an evolved NodeB (eNB) is shared by a first operator and a second operator. The UE receives an indication, which allows collecting minimization of drive tests (MDT) logs of a user equipment (UE) of the second operator, from a mobility management entity (MME) of the second operator. Upon collecting the MDT logs, the UE transmits a trace record based on the collected MDT logs to a trace collection entity (TCE) of the first operator.

  • Patent number: 9876588
Abstract: Radio-frequency performance of wireless communications circuitry on an electronic device under test (DUT) may be tested without external test equipment such as signal analyzers or signal generators. A first DUT may transmit test signals to a second DUT. External attenuator circuitry interposed between the DUTs may attenuate the test signals to desired power levels. The second DUT may characterize and/or calibrate receiver performance by generating wireless performance metric data based on the attenuated test signals. A single DUT may transmit test signals to itself via corresponding transmit and receive ports coupled together through the attenuator. The DUT may generate performance metric data based on the test signals. The DUT may include feedback receiver circuitry coupled to an output of a transmitter via a feedback path and may characterize and/or calibrate transmit performance using test signals transmitted by the transmitter and received by the feedback receiver.

  • Patent number: 9877138
Abstract: A system and method for localized data retrieval to disseminate data about points of interest at a display venue, based on a local area network established with a series of commonly named wireless access points operatively connected to a main router. The system is connected to a user's mobile device through an application they are directed to download. Each WAP has a common name and is located about the display venue in close enough proximity to other WAPs so as to constitute an uninterrupted communication platform with the main LDRS computer from which data about the points of interest is polled. Interspersed about the display venue is a series of tracking devices causing nearby mobile devices to self report their location to the LDRS computer.

  • Patent number: 9854461
Abstract: A method for classifying a signal can be used by a station or stations within a network to classify the signal as non-cooperative (NC) or a target signal. The method performs classification over channels within a frequency spectrum. The percentage of power above a first threshold is computed for a channel. Based on the percentage, a signal is classified as a narrowband signal. If the percentage indicates the absence of a narrowband signal, then a lower second threshold is applied to confirm the absence according to the percentage of power above the second threshold. The signal is classified as a narrowband signal or pre-classified as a wideband signal based on the percentage. Pre-classified wideband signals are classified as a wideband NC signal or target signal using spectrum masks.
