  • Patent number: 10683633
Abstract: A system for controlling the operation of an industrial machine during crowd runaway conditions. The system includes a controller that monitors and compares an actual crowd system state (e.g., an actual dipper position) with a requested crowd system state (e.g., a requested dipper position from the operator). If the controller determines that the crowd system is behaving contrary to requested crowd system behavior, the controller adjusts a crowd parameter, such as a crowd motor torque, to resolve the runaway condition.

  • Patent number: 10613517
Abstract: This method for controlling an industrial robot comprising a moving robot arm provided with at least one electric motor suitable for moving this robot arm includes the following steps: a) the execution (1000), by a central unit, of a control program of the robot arm and, in response, the calculation and sending of position instructions of the robot arm; b) generation (1004) of supply voltages of the motor by an axis controller as a function of the calculated position instructions, implementing cascading regulators including at least one entry point receiving an input signal; and c) controlling (1006) the motor with the generated supply voltages. During step b), a sound excitation signal is superimposed with the input signal of one of the regulators to form a composite signal, the supply voltages being generated as a function of the composite signal.

  • Patent number: 10549430
Abstract: A mapping method includes: acquiring first map information created in advance, including information about a surrounding area of a mobile robot; acquiring second map information including information about the surrounding area by a sensor of the mobile robot; receiving third map information including information about the surrounding area from an environmental sensor node; (i) in the third map information, if a place exists in which an amount of change over time is equal to or greater than a certain threshold value, removing information about the place in each of the first and the second map information corresponding to that place, or alternatively, increasing the variance of information about the place in each of the first and the second map information corresponding to that place; and (ii) creating map information using the first and the second map information subjected to the removal or the variance increase.
