  • Patent number: 10222252
Abstract: Embodiments of a portable verification system can move from one in-field gas flow meter location to another and temporarily connect downstream of a main pipeline's meter run or station. A control valve of the portable verification system allows volume measurement at different flow velocities to be verified. In some embodiments, the portable verification system is connected to the meter run and the main pipeline by a corresponding slip or linearly adjustable pipeline section. This section can extend horizontally and vertically, as well as swivel to provide versatility when connecting in the field. Adaptor fittings having one flange sized for and fitted to the inlet and outlet ends of the portable verification system and another flange sized for the meter run or main pipeline connection provide additional versatility. Downtime is limited to the time required to complete a circuit between the meter run, portable verification system, and main pipeline.

  • Patent number: 10190894
Abstract: Technologies for controlling degradation of a sensor mote including detecting a trigger event and initiating degradation of at least a portion of the sensor mote in response to the trigger event. The trigger event may be embodied as any type of event detectable by the sensor mote such as a trigger signal, particular sensed data, expiration of a reference time period, completion of a task, and so forth. The sensor mote may imitate the degradation by, for example, controlling a valve to release a chemical stored in the sensor mote or allow a substance into the sensor mote.

  • Patent number: 10168199
Abstract: In a method for ascertaining and monitoring fill level of a medium in a container by means of a field device using a travel time measuring method, wherein transmission signals are transmitted toward the medium and reflection signals are received; the received reflection signals are registered as echo signals in an echo function, or envelope curve, dependent on travel time or travel distance; by means of an echo search algorithm, at least one wanted echo signal is ascertained in the echo function, or envelope curve; by means of at least one filter with filter parameters the echo function, or the envelope curve, is preprocessed; at least a first filter range with a first width is predetermined at the position of the wanted echo signal in the echo function, or in the envelope curve, and at least three filter ranges are formed in the echo function, or in the envelope curve.

  • Patent number: 10161781
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a device for dispensing a liquid, including a vertically arranged, translucent pipe for guiding the liquid, wherein the pipe has an upper section and a lower section, wherein an inner diameter of the upper section is greater than an inner diameter of the lower section, at least two light barriers for detecting a rise in the liquid over two defined levels in the pipe, wherein a first light barrier detects a rise in the liquid in the upper section of the pipe, and wherein a second light barrier detects a rise in the liquid in the lower section of the pipe.
