  • Patent number: 11763155
Abstract: A system comprising an electronic device that includes a processor is described. During operation, the processor acquires a full version of a neural network, the neural network including internal elements for processing instances of input image data having a set of color channels. The processor then generates, from the neural network, a set of sub-networks, each sub-network being a separate copy of the neural network with the internal elements for processing at least one of the color channels in instances of input image data removed, so that each sub-network is configured for processing a different set of one or more color channels in instances of input image data. The processor next provides the sub-networks for processing instances of input image data—and may itself use the sub-networks for processing instances of input image data.

  • Patent number: 11741325
Abstract: Example methods and systems for printing ink consumption estimation are described. In one example, a computer system may obtain printing content associated with a document that is printable using a printer. Based on the printing content, the computer system may generate an image representation of the document, wherein the image representation includes an array of multiple pixels associated with first color information from a first color space. Color conversion may be performed by converting (a) the first color information from the first color space to (b) second color information from a second color space associated with the printer. The computer system may estimate an amount of printing ink required for printing the document based on the second color information and provide the estimated amount of printing ink to a user via a user interface.

  • Patent number: 11695894
Abstract: A system and method provide for automated evaluation of reference point pairs. For each of a set of reference point pairs in an input color space, a straight line connecting the reference points is sampled to generate a set of sampled points. Each of the set of sampled points in the input color space is converted to a sampled point in an output color space. For each of a set of color separations in the output color space, discontinuities are identified, based on the set of sampled points in the output color space. Candidate reference point pairs are identified in the set of reference point pairs for which at least one discontinuity is identified. The candidate reference point pairs can be validated by printing test sweeps, which are each derived from a respective set of sampled points in the output color space, and identifying contour artifacts in the printed test sweeps.
