Abstract: Photopolymerizable compositions comprising a polymerizable epoxide, vinyl ether, or other acid-catalyzed monomer and a phototropic, alkyl substituted-orthonitrobenzene containing compound are provided, which, when exposed to actinic radiation, are polymerized by the radiation produced acidic initiator.
Abstract: A polyurethane composition, resistant to sulfuric acid, prepared by reacting 2,2'-diaminodisulfide with an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer, itself prepared by reacting, in the presence of a 2,6-dialkylated para cresol, at least one polymeric polyol with a diphenyl methane diisocyanate.
Abstract: A sewing tape especially adapted to provide a measured sewing guide line when using a sewing machine. The tape is in the form of a strip provided with cuts extending through the tip for separating the tape into ribbons of predetermined thickness and has suitable guide lines printed thereon some of which coincide with the cuts. The tape is held together by pressure sensitive adhesive coated on one surface of the tape which is wound under tension.
Abstract: A method of improving the dimensional and thermal stability of a fibrous web containing substrate is disclosed. A uniformly or randomly spun or bonded fabric or textile support is impregnated with a curable polymer resin, e.g., an epoxy-polyester resin. The impregnated resin is then fully cured whereupon a polymer resin coat is applied thereto. The coat is maintained in a partial cure state whereby a laminate comprising an internal woven or bonded fabric skeleton impregnated with a fully cured polymer resin and coated with a layer of a partially cured polymer resin is obtained.

Abstract: Pressure-sensitive resin solutions containing an acid-epoxy self-curing interpolymer and 1,3-bis(dimethylamino)-2-hydroxypropane. The solutions exhibit improved viscosity stability and provide pressure-sensitive resin films with cohesive strength and low release values from silicone release paper.
