Abstract: A presentation detailing a recommended course of treatment to a patient, frequently referred to as a case, is constructed with a single action. The presentation describes recommended healthcare procedures for a given patient using information specific to that patient's healthcare record. The presentation is constructed by assembling information on the recommended healthcare procedures and all necessary clinical and financial information for the patient stored in a healthcare management desktop application into a template having a format accepted by any standard presentation software program. Finally, using the presentation software program, the recommended course of treatment is presented to the patient. In addition, the presentation software program includes tools to permit customization and storage of each constructed presentation.

  • Patent number: 7606721
Abstract: The present invention provides a system for managing, analyzing and reporting accounts of overpaid claims for patient balance accounts, although various components and features of the system are inventions into themselves. Certain aspects of the inventor allow managers of both service providers (such as health care facilities) and payers (such as insurance companies and Medicare) to assign work and produce reports. Other aspects of the invention allow provider users and payer users to analyze and resolve the claims in an automated environment. These aspects provide the users with information in a readily accessible and easy to navigate format. The users are also provided with tools for analyzing the claims in an automated manner.

  • Patent number: 6937991
Abstract: In an organization having a large number of employees, and also having a travel center, a method is provided for enhancing preparedness of employees for international travel. When the travel center is requested to make international travel arrangements for an employee, a travel notification message identifying the employee is transmitted to each of a number of specialized, travel service providers associated with the organization. A computer associated with a given travel service provider is then operated to determine whether the employee was identified in a previously received travel notification message. If not, the given travel service provider transmits a first travel preparation message to the employee, which comprises a complete list of travel services available from the given travel service provider.
