Abstract: A flossing device includes a housing that can be gripped as a handle. The housing has a hollow interior with first pawl teeth. A spool is placed inside the hollow interior and includes second and third pawl teeth disposed on opposite ends. The second pawl teeth, when engaged with the first pawl teeth with assistance from a spring, allow the spool to rotate in a first direction relative to the housing. The flossing device also includes a tail cap that has fourth teeth that engage the third pawl teeth to urge the spool in the first direction. The flossing device also includes a fork for suspending a length of floss received from the spool and used for flossing. The length of floss is tightened by rotation of the spool in the first direction. The length of floss can be replaced by rotation of the spool in a second direction opposite the first direction.

Abstract: A device for supporting eyelash extensions during the use thereof. The device includes an articulatable support having a first connector proximate a first end. The device includes a base coupled to a second end of the articulatable support. The base includes a coupling structure. The articulatable support is selectably coupled to the base. The device for supporting eyelash extensions includes a display platform selectably coupled to the base by operation of the coupling structure thereof. The display platform includes a recess and an array of arches each tilted with respect to the display platform shaped and sized to support eyelash extensions. The array of arches are differently sized. The array of arches have a smooth and hard outer surface.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) for dispensing artificial eyelashes, comprising a housing (10) equipped with a dispensing opening (11), a carrier strip (30) to which a plurality of artificial eyelashes (41) are fixed, and a movement mechanism capable of being actuated to cause movement of the strip (30) in order to convey the artificial eyelashes (41) towards the dispensing opening (11) and to allow the artificial eyelashes (41) to exit through the dispensing opening (11).

Abstract: An oral hygiene device adapted for use in the oral cavity comprises a toothbrush at one end and a flossing device at the opposite end. The flossing device comprises first and second arms and first and second floss-anchoring buttons. Each arm has a floss-receiving slot defined in a distal end. The first floss-anchoring button projects from the first arm and the second floss-anchoring button projects from the second arm. Each floss-anchoring button has two or more floss-receiving channels defined in a peripheral wall thereof.

Abstract: Disclosed is a French artificial nail including an artificial nail body and a French part. The artificial nail body includes a cuticle edge facing the root of a fingernail and a free edge extending towards the tip of the fingernail and is curved downward toward both lateral sides thereof to form a curved surface. The French part is formed on the upper surface of the free edge of the artificial nail body. The artificial nail body is attached to a user's fingernail or toenail through glue and has a lower modulus than the French part. This flexibility of the artificial nail body prevents the formation of bubbles, the incidence of pain and the occurrence of pop-off resulting from glue shrinkage, contributing to an improvement in the wearability and reliability of the final product.

Abstract: A floss arm in a generally cylindrical configuration has a distal end, a proximal end, and an exterior surface there between. The distal end is formed with a distal recess. A replaceable flosser has a central base and two outwardly extending legs. The outwardly extending legs have free ends. A piece of floss is secured between the free ends. The central base is removably received in the distal recess. A floss guard is formed with a center attached to the distal end of the floss arm. A plurality of short arms extend from the center to limit the depth of penetration of the floss. Two laterally spaced long legs extend from the center and span the plurality of short legs to define a central zone for optimal flossing.

Abstract: False eyelash apparatus and methods for applying false eyelashes. A false eyelash holder for holding a false eyelash has a support member for supporting the false eyelash and is adjustable to cause inversion of the false eyelash from a convex shape to a substantially concave shape. An inverter-loader device is configured to receive the holder and operable to adjust the holder to cause the false eyelash inversion. An applicator for applying an inverted false eyelash to an eyelid may have a unitary structure or may be a clamp for gripping the inverted false eyelashes. The applicator is operable to carry the inverted false eyelash for allowing the applicator to roll the false eyelash lengthways onto an eyelid and allowing the rolling false eyelash to release from the applicator. The applicator may be disposable.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for a standing mirror having a round, flat mirror disposed in substantially the horizontal plane so that it faces upwardly allowing an operator to see hard to reach and see areas of the body. The mirror is disposed in a frame having a conventional razor disposed in a receptacle thereon along with lights disposed in the rim that make the mirror visible for use in darkened areas. Suction tubes disposed on the mirror remove cut hair into a pouch which hangs onto the side of the mirror. A plurality of supporting folding legs having telescoping sections and pivoting sections support the mirror.

Abstract: A hair styling device comprising two hinged arms able to move relative to each other for the receiving and shaping of a strand of hair. Each arm carries a shaping plate on its side facing the other arm. These shaping surfaces making contact with the hair strand being styled. The hair being styled is pulled past these shaping surfaces. One of the two arms has a hair support on its side carrying the shaping plate. The hair support is arranged at a spacing from the shaping surface of the other arm, so that the other arm can be introduced into an arm support between the hair support and the shaping surface of the shaping plate of the arm carrying the hair support. The shaping plates of the two arms which cooperate with each other for the hair styling can move relative to each other in the manner of scissors.

Abstract: A process for creating transitory colored hair that is composed of two different colored hair groups having different length hairs in each hair group, and the hair groups are combined then the top one-third (?) combined hair is dyed or color processed. First, hair group 1 is obtained consisting of hair strands 12 inches to 24 inches in length and color processed to color A. Next, hair group 2 is obtained consisting of hair strands approximately two-thirds the length of hair group 1, which is color processed to color B. Hair group 1 and hair group 2 are combined into one hair piece. Then, the top one-third segment of combined hair is color processed to color B. Optionally, the top one-third segment of the combined hair groups can be color processed to color C.

Abstract: Pedicure toe band separators and methods of making and using the same. Each toe band separator wraps around a single toe and is secured thereto while avoiding contact with the toenail. Once secured to the toe, the toe band separator provides a space or gap between adjacent toes and toenails so that when the toenails are painted, contact with one or more such adjacent toes and/or toenails is avoided via the toe band separators of the invention and the space/gap generated thereby. The toe band separators may be used in combination with an additional spacer, and may be reusable or single-use disposable toe bands.
