  • Patent number: 10385883
Abstract: The invention relates to a vibrating ram arrangement comprising a hydraulic assembly, a vibrator which is connected to the hydraulic assembly via hydraulic tubes, and a controller which is paired with the hydraulic assembly. The hydraulic assembly has a hydraulic pump which is driven by an internal combustion engine, and the vibrator has imbalances and an adjustable hydraulic engine for driving the imbalances. A hydraulic fluid is conducted through the hydraulic assembly, the hydraulic tubes, and the hydraulic engine in a circuit. A frequency sensor for determining the frequency of the vibrator is connected to the controller, and the controller is designed to control a volumetric flow rate conducted through the circuit dependent on the signal of the frequency sensor. According to the invention, the vibrator has a device, which is independent of the controller, for automatically adjusting a displacement volume of the hydraulic engine dependent on a pressure within the circuit.

  • Patent number: 10378623
Abstract: A rotation/translation converter gear unit having a helical gear and a planetary gear for driving the helical gear. A spindle nut of the helical gear forms a planet carrier for planet wheels of the planetary gear. Situated between the planetary gear and the helical gear is an axial friction bearing, that at the same time forms a centering element which centers a sun wheel of the planetary gear between the planet wheels. In particular, the rotation/translation converter gear unit is used to drive a piston of a pressure generator for a brake control of a hydraulic vehicle brake system.

  • Patent number: 10364890
Abstract: A double cup-shaped piston for a disc brake including an electromechanical parking brake device. An aspect of the invention permits an improved compromise between easier operability, rationalized component logistics in piston production, reduced hydraulic volume uptake in cooperation with the wheel brake periphery, and enhanced fatigue strength under maximum collective stress, in particular for heavy-duty applications of a disc brake with an electromechanical parking brake device. The problem is solved by the presence of a piston wall, which is provided, on the one hand, to sit with a free edge on a rear plate of a friction lining, and wherein the piston, on the other hand, includes an integral dome which forms an open receptacle for an actuator arranged diametrically to the edge of the piston.

  • Patent number: 10337536
Abstract: In exemplary implementations of this invention, a shape controller controls the shape of a bladder as the bladder inflates. The shape controller includes a first set of regions and a second set of regions. The second set of regions is more flexible than the first set of regions. The shape controller is embedded within, or adjacent to, a wall of the bladder. When the bladder is inflated, the overall shape of the bladder bends in areas adjacent to the more flexible regions of the shape controller. For example, the shape controller may comprise paper and the more flexible regions may comprise creases in the paper. Or, for example, the more flexible regions may comprise notches or indentations. In some implementations of this invention, a multi-state shape display changes shape as it inflates, with additional bumps forming as pressure in the display increases.

  • Patent number: 10337614
Abstract: A piston is the driven component within a pump. The piston is driven along a longitudinal axis to pump a fluid through the pump. The fluid flows through the piston between an upstream end of the pump and a downstream end of the pump. The piston outputs the fluid into the downstream end of the pump at a vector offset from the longitudinal axis, thereby inducing rotation of the piston throughout the pumping process. Rotating the piston encourages even wear on various components within the pump, such as sealing rings surrounding the piston, thereby increasing the lifespan of the components and increasing the efficiency of the pump.

  • Patent number: 10302102
Abstract: Low-pressure and high-pressure reciprocating and rotary applications use seal assemblies to prevent leakage. One embodiment of a seal assembly includes a major annular body having opposing spaced-apart annular lips extending from a heel portion. The major annular body has a bore extending through the heel portion. A first spring is disposed between the lips, biasing the lips apart. A minor annular body extends from one of the lips of the major annular body. The minor annular body has opposing spaced-apart walls that extend from a base region and form a pocket. A second spring is disposed in the pocket between the spaced-apart walls, biasing the walls apart. During actuator operation, pressurized fluid urges one wall of the minor annular body against a pump head surface to produce a face seal and one of the lips of the major annular body against a rod surface to produce a radial seal.

  • Patent number: 10287751
Abstract: A hydraulic drive system for a track device of crawler type has right and left hydraulic track motors. The hydraulic drive system is capable of correcting for skew occurring in the straight line traveling of the track device. A traveling test is conducted upon shipment from a factory. If skew is noted during the test, a plug disposed on the side of a valve opening-side pressure receiving portion of a pressure compensating valve for the track which is lower in speed is removed and, replaced with an adjusting mechanism-mounted plug having an adjusting pin. The pin is operated so as to strengthen a biasing force of a target compensating differential pressure adjusting spring. An opening in the pressure compensating valve is thereby corrected in an opening direction and a flow rate to one of the left and right track motors is thereby adjusted to be equal to the other motor.
