  • Patent number: 7334379
Abstract: An automated pharmaceutical product packaging machine simultaneously fills a plurality of product package templates in parallel with desired pharmaceutical dosing requirements. The templates are subsequently positioned over a temporary storage template having cavities for receiving solid pharmaceutical doses. A collector member is subsequently placed beneath the temporary storage template for receiving the pharmaceuticals which in turn is positioned over a solid pharmaceutical product package having a plurality of cavities which correspond to openings on the templates and wherein each of the templates fills a pharmaceutical package.

  • Patent number: 7272919
Abstract: A portable vacuum device for extracting fluid in a container having an opening includes a handheld housing, a fluid extracting nozzle, a vacuum device and a sensor switch. The fluid extracting nozzle has a vacuum pressure corresponding to an interior pressure of the container, extended towards the handheld housing for communicating with the opening of the container. The vacuum device is supported in the handheld housing to generate a vacuum effect within the fluid extracting nozzle. The sensor switch includes a movable conductive member driven with respect to the vacuum pressure of the fluid extracting nozzle and a control member normally positioned spaced apart from the movable conductive member to allow the vacuum device to be operated, wherein when the vacuum pressure drops below a predetermined threshold pressure, the movable conductive member is driven to electrically contact with the control member to deactivate the vacuum device.

  • Patent number: 6460313
Abstract: A machine for producing a packaging filler material employing inflated pouches or cells fabricated from a tubular supply of plastic-like material having a top and bottom integral fold so that a pair of sheets are defined with their opposing inner surfaces establishing a compartment. Sealed strips, which are spaced apart in parallel relationship, define the sides of each pouch compartment. The machine includes a first work station having a source of tubular material that is introduced to a second or cutter station for severing the top fold of the tubular material followed by introduction to a third or inflation station where a source of pressurized fluid is fed to the pouch compartment. A sealing station follows the inflation station where the top opening to the pouch is closed such as by heat sealing. Idler rollers smoothly conduct the material past each of the respective work stations in a serial fashion and provide a gap for effecting inflation.
